very central, a bit hard too find, not so cool about the birds in the cages, cruel. they need to fly. they are in a small cage and cant relax nor sleep once its in the light / loud :(. without the birds i would give 4/5

It is a very nice, quiet place. The rooms are good, simple, in line with their classification. The regular bathroom, the shower without a screen or curtain, was flooded almost all the time. The staff is friendly. If they offer you a taxi or excursions, it is much more expensive than if you hire it with agencies on the street or with taxi drivers also on the street. We were lucky enough to run into Tony, who was our taxi driver while we were in Bali.

Becarefull, the owner tried to rob us when our friend had already paid. Didn't give receipt and wouldn't accept card. He was pretending he never receive the money even front of my friend! Very bad, very desapointed.

So unprofessional, we had a booking reservation confirmed for all the family and at the arrival they said they gave our room to another client on WhatsApp… not professional they don’t care about clients I was alone with my 2 kids so tired. They propose a not fair change for the pension (cheaper ! And no refund proposal… ) Scam and unprofessional

Nicks home stay is wonderful! I stayed here with my family when I was 10 years old. And now I have come back here 20 years later and the place is still beautiful and service is wonderful. Well worth the culteral experience to stay in a Homestay rather than a resort.

To flee!! The smell of the rooms is just horrible! The condition of the fridge/freezer is terrible! We asked for a refund because we couldn't stay. Don't be fooled by the price. It's not for nothing that it's very inexpensive!

We loved our stay at Nick's so much we extended it. It's a beautiful peaceful oasis in the heart of busy Ubud. The rooms are huge, the bed is very comfortable and there's a spacious balcony which overlooks the beautiful gardens. Not a massive choice for breakfast but what there is is very tasty and can be enjoyed on your balcony or in the common areas. The staff are super friendly and helpful - we booked a tour and transfer with them which were spot on. It is on one of Ubud's busiest streets but set back so you can't hear the road. It's a three minute walk to the large supermarket where many of the minibuses drop off and you can walk to Monkey Forest in about 10 minutes. Only tiny improvement would be a fridge in the room. Think I saw them in other rooms so maybe we just booked one without, although I didn't see a different option. That's very minor though - it really was fabulous and I throughly recommend - it's a lovely place.

The room was great, unfortunately the rooms weren't completely clean. At the reception you always had to hope that someone would be there or you sometimes had to wait 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, there were cages with different birds everywhere in the area. Unfortunately, we are not fans of zoos or animals in captivity.

Just one star less as the rooms are old. This property is located in the junction of Jalan Hanoman and Jalan Sugriwa - just walkable Distance from monkey forest and in heart of Ubud. We stayed here for 6 days and it was an wonderful experience of living in a typical Balinese household. Despite being in town Centre it has a green and forest like ambience. Breakfast is simple but can't expect better at this budget. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.Service staff are always available and extremely friendly.Will like to come here again

A beautiful facility. The rooms are simply furnished. There are mosquito nets on the beds. The staff is very helpful. If you want, it can be cleaned daily. A kettle with coffee and tea is available as well as a refrigerator. You get 2 bottles of water every day. Breakfast is kept simple and is brought to the room terrace. The facility is very centrally located. You shouldn't be frightened by small lodgers... it's possible that a gecko will dart back and forth. We also had very good internet reception. We would definitely come back and would be happy to recommend the facility.

Very comfortable beds with good air conditioning, mosquito nets around beds. Staff are all friendly and helpful for anything needed. In the heart of Ubud but you would never be able to tell when in the grounds, feels like you're in the countryside. Simple choices for breakfast.All in all, would definitely recommend.

Nick's Homestay has a breathtakingly beautiful garden area with bubbling fountains, small temple buildings and lots of plants, so you don't notice any of the noise in Ubud, even though the homestay is right in the center.The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom.The great location and the relaxing garden with beautiful pool invite you to relax, but at the same time you can be in the hustle and bustle of Ubud within a minute.

The location in Ubud is perfect. The facility itself is beautiful. The rooms and bathroom are large. You shouldn't expect German cleanliness in a 2-star hotel. Accordingly, this is the biggest deficiency. The included breakfast is manageable but tasty. The service is very good and your wishes can be fulfilled upon request. The pool is not big, but enough to refresh yourself. The complex is pretty quiet except for the many bird songs (pleasant for us). The air conditioning works perfectly and some rooms also have a pleasant ceiling fan. We are very satisfied for the price we paid here and would like to come back!
