Lovely people, great breakfast. Location great.|However, hotel has well past its sell by date and probably its use by date as well.|Needs updating , decoratively tired and the bathroom needs a complete renovation.|We considered seeking alternative accommodation but for short stay didn't bother.

The location was perfect, so many cafes, restaurants, markets, spas and so on around the hotel. Plus, it's close to the center, if you rent a scooter you can get there within 5 min. Once you are there you have to look really hard for the signs that says that the hotel is here. It's close to the monkey forest which was perfect and we had a visit from some monkeys at the hotel and our balcony. The hotel did give us some guides about interacting with the monkeys, like don't look them in the eye and always make sure you don't leave stuff outside on your balcony and make sure you lock the balcony well. The hotel it's self is nice and comfortable, I loved how it has a big garden, you feel like you are in the jungle, the pool was clean but we didn't have time to swim in it. The breakfast was SUPER, you get to choose from omelets to fried noodles, I recommend the fried noodles (mi gorang), it's very tasty. The down side was There was a lot of bugs and insects crawling around our room from the outside and our door had a little crack in it from the side, so we were scared that we would get mosquito bites or other insect bites, but thankfully we didn't.

Small family-run hotel, very shabby, in need of a good spruce up. Convenient if you stay 1 maximum 2 nights, you can find better options at the same time (maybe even a little less). Ps the monkeys on the balcony are cute, but after 5 minutes they also start to get bored, they leave industrial quantities of lice on the floor and they don't go away easily.

Amazing hotel, stayed here for only 2 nights!Friendly staff, they only offer breakfast so you have to go out to eat but its not far!Usually would get a grab bike to take us to the busier strip in ubud and we would then eat out there!

Couldn’t recommend Bumi Muwa more! It’s a hidden gem - right in the centre but quiet and chill. The staff go above and beyond and the place is spotless. Loved our time here!

We liked it here. Breakfast was brought to us on the terrace. The staff were very polite. We were blessed every day and offerings were made to the gods. There was also a great pool, unfortunately we didn't have time to use it.

The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. There is a kettle and Nescafe and 1 tea bag. Everything is outdated, there is no fan. The aircon works well, but the rooms are not mosquito-proof and there is no mosquito net. The bathroom has a bathtub, everything is very shabby, chipped paint on the sanitary facilities, mold and dirt in the window frames. The garden is quite unkempt and small, looks completely different than in the photos. A new house is being built behind the pool; construction workers are walking through the garden with their materials all day long; There are mopeds parked on the lawn, so you don't really want to hang out/lie down there, nor do you want to go to the pool, which has zero privacy from the construction site. The pool is also used by the monkeys who also play there. I don't think that's particularly hygienic. The staff is friendly, the breakfast isn't really great. There's the usual choice of Continental, Balinese or fried eggs. Very dry toast, 1 small butter, 1 small jam. The fried noodles are good and sufficiently portioned. The pancakes were strangely green, totally dry, regardless of whether they had chocolate or bananas. Toast with fried eggs on the first day meant 3 halves of toast and fried eggs - ok. The next day the same order was two slices of toast completely soaked in some kind of honey syrup with two fried eggs well done in between. Inedible. And then they wanted to tell us that this is how they prepare it in their hotel. There are 4 tables on a platform in the garden where you can have breakfast. But the garden is a mosquito breeding area, there are containers with water and aquatic plants everywhere, there are no mosquito coils or anything like that, so you voluntarily escape very quickly. The overall location is central, but quite quiet as it is in the 2nd row. Hard to find due to the narrow entrance. You can take beautiful photos there but the reality is different

I arrived at night and at first it was quite difficult to find as it's down an alleyway off the main road. …
