On our school trip we stayed at the Haus der Horizonte for 3 nights. We received a very friendly welcome and the handover of the rooms went smoothly. It should be noted, however, that many beds squeak with the slightest movement, so some students preferred to sleep with the mattress on the floor. Nevertheless, the rooms were tidy and clean and quite rustically furnished. In my opinion, shared sanitary rooms are no longer in keeping with the times. As a carer, I would at least have liked to have my own bathroom. The breakfast was simple and yet quite filling, we were full. However, the low price of some foods was noticeable; I would have liked more quality here, for example with the rolls or vegetarian alternatives for cold cuts.The location of the hostel is very good. The center of Bad Doberan can be reached quickly on foot, and the connection to Kühlungsborn via the Molli is also an advantage.

Totally okay for the price, reminds me of old school trips in a youth hostel, shared bathroom (you have to deal with it) and even a kitchen available 👍🏼

As a result of our move from Hamburg to Bad Doberan, we used the catering service from Haus der Horizonte for our shipping company today. The previous pre-order was made quickly and very uncomplicated. The advice on this was very good. The team at Haus der Horizonte dealt with our last-minute relocation changes very flexibly. The preparation was super fresh and very nice to look at. Everyone ate with pleasure and everything turned out well. We would like to praise the kitchen and the catering and warmly recommend it! We really liked that. Added to this is the incredibly fair price. We will definitely do this again for another occasion and would like to encourage others to try it out or eat there too! Affordable accommodation, furniture is a bit old and there's not much kitchen tools, but that's understandable for the price. The walk from a train station is a bit longer but overall we've had a pleasant stay.

The beds squeak and the rooms are more reminiscent of a youth hostel. But I was still able to sleep well and was very well rested the next day (but you shouldn't be too tall so that your legs don't hang over the edge of the bed like I did.) Breakfast was very pleasant overall yummy.

Functionally furnished, clean, friendly staff, easy to reach, plenty of parking. Unfortunately our beds (3-bed rooms) were a disaster. They squeaked and creaked with every little movement, constantly waking you up.

Delicious canteen with good home-style cuisine - there are two dishes to choose from every day from Mon-Fri. If you sign up for the email list, you will receive next week's meal plan the Thursday before. Eating on site is just as possible as taking away or having it delivered. There is also a dessert (if you like) and drinks or ice cream. There are plenty of parking spaces available and in summer you can also eat outside. The offer is only available at lunchtime and is inexpensive. But what stands out is the family atmosphere and the friendly atmosphere here.

It was a nice week with my class, the food was okay, we had 2 floors for all of us, the 3 belonged to the girls, the 2nd belonged to the boys, but unfortunately a lot of the beds collapsed, especially for the boys, but the staff were really nice and the toilets were actually clean too So the bathroom as a whole, I would offer it but be careful not to jump or anything because of the beds!!! (why they weren't fixed the caretaker forgot to fix the slatted frames) the wifi is also quite ok, it's just Telekom free wifi

I had a lovely week there with my class. We regularly had food and drink available and the people there were very nice. They even went to the trouble of making us packed lunches for excursions. The fact that we even had our own refrigerator and freezer in the guest kitchen was really nice because we could also store our own food there. The toilets were clean and there were enough sinks so that we could even get ready together.I thought it was beautiful.LG
