We passed this place by complete chance. We where hungry and went for a bite in the empty restaurant. Out of season, not many people visit this area I reckon.||After dinner, we were tired and decided to stay for the night. …

The two of us spent a very nice short vacation at Haus Waldesruh. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. The breakfast was excellent, I would like to highlight the freshly cooked eggs every day, obviously from happy chickens. The dinner was good and plentiful, good German cuisine, and was served as a 3-course menu very punctually and in a friendly manner without delay. We didn't use the bowling alley because the weather was too nice for bowling. The location of the hotel is wonderfully quiet, you can really relax here.Lakes and zoos nearby offer great excursion destinations. We'd love to come back.

Very inflexible staff. A four-course menu had been reserved for Friday, followed by bowling, starting at 6 p.m. Bowling was then canceled and dinner was served at 5:30 p.m. because the boss had an appointment at 7 p.m., so nothing to do with leisurely food and drinks, you had to get ready. Luckily we had our own drinks, otherwise we would have died of thirst in the evening. Not exactly customer friendly. Bowling was done in the afternoon the next day, but unfortunately we had the feeling that it was too much work. There were a total of 9 visitors in the hotel, but they still felt unwanted. Food was okay and breakfast was sufficient. The rooms were clean and the bathroom too. Unfortunately the negative reviews have been confirmed, we hoped it wasn't the case.

The first contact with the owner was immediately unfriendly when we asked if an earlier check-in was possible. A friendly “No.” would have been enough. Dinner was at 6 p.m. sharp, which is very inflexible for a vacation. The soup and dessert were ok. When we ordered an Aperol, people rolled their eyes and prepared it very reluctantly. The question of whether payment could be made by card was even more unwelcome than the question of an Aperol. You didn't want to spend any longer than necessary in the public areas because you didn't feel welcome.Restful sleep was difficult due to a bed that creaked with every movement.Breakfast time is from 8-10, the lady there kindly allowed us to have breakfast at 7:30 because we had already asked for coffee. The cleaning of the room was very good. The friendliness of the owner, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Especially as younger guests, we felt very unwelcome.

Very quiet area. Large room. Nice evening meal, simple bowling alley. Breakfast was mediocre. Apparently the eggs were already gone at 9:00 and no steps were taken to arrange this. You shouldn't expect friendliness here... But for the price it all seems fine! Sauna not yet seen. Bar closes at 9:00 PM. No refrigerator in the room or presence of a "vending machine". So not recommended for several nights / pleasant evenings...

The hotel was terrible. Staff totally unfriendly, there was only one dish for dinner, so you had no other choice. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn't clean either. After dinner you had the feeling that you should leave your seat quickly so that you can finish work quickly. No recommendation!!!!

Hotel is adapted to the category, rooms are clean. The staff at the same time as the operator seem to have no desire to work, bowling alley dirty, drinks had to be requested several times, coffee was also very difficult to get, cake or something similar. Breakfast was okay, dinner wasn't particularly bad and it was very Maggie's fault. After eating you had the feeling of being thrown out so you could finally call it a day.

The hotel is already quiet. The rooms and the building are getting old.Rooms are clean so far but could use a refresh in some areas. It would be good for the buildings to lend a little help here and there. You can really achieve a lot and refresh the ambience without much effort.I don't think the outdoor areas would mind a bit of maintenance either.Overall, you get the feeling that the owners don't really care about their hotel. And it wasn't so cheap that people say it doesn't bother me.Greetings to the operators.Sometimes you can achieve a lot with the right look and a few simple steps.
