Premier inn München City Ost Hotel

Because of the bad reviews I was already skeptical and even wanted to cancel my stay - but due to the big price differences I decided to give this Premier Inn a chance.Unfortunately I have to agree: This hotel definitely needs improvement.I stayed here for one night for the Adele concert at the fairgrounds. The hotel can only be reached by bus - you can also only get to the trade fair by bus or taxi.I got to the hotel at around 1 p.m., hoping I could check in earlier. At many Premier Inns where I stayed you could get to your room *at least* half an hour early. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for me - even though I booked one of the few Plus rooms, housekeeping prioritized the regular rooms and didn't clean my room until the front desk made two calls. So guests with the cheaper rooms were able to check in before me. Something like that is absolutely incomprehensible and rude to me, as I had to wait in the reception area for almost two hours. Yes, the check-in time is officially only at 3 p.m., but every other hotel can accommodate an earlier check-in too!After I received my room card at 3 p.m., I suddenly found the cleaning staff in my room - another 10 minutes passed before I could finally go to my room.The air in the room was uncomfortably stuffy; The air conditioning hardly serves its purpose and the bathroom can only be ventilated with the window open as there is no ventilation system.The positive: The room was relatively clean and stylishly furnished, the bed (as usual at Premier Inn) was very comfortable and the extras in the plus category such as the mini-bar, wireless charging and the ironing board were great. In addition to the blackout curtains, there were electric roller shutters.In general, it is noticeable that the hotel previously belonged to a different chain and was only recently renovated - the elevator (which smells of cigarette smoke), the bathroom, which is unusual for Premier Inn, the unattractive exterior facade... all of this is not typical in my opinion Premier Inn standards I'm used to.When it comes to staff, I'm also not sure whether the Premier Inn management has simply reduced its demands due to the poor staffing situation, or whether the current staff was taken over from the previous hotel. In any case, I miss the efficiency, friendliness and customer focus that I am normally used to at Premier Inn. The whole team seems inexperienced, disorganized and unhappy. The fact that the cleaning staff wanted to barge into my room a few minutes after check-in didn't necessarily make the overall impression of the staff any better.When checking out, no one asked if everything was OK - they probably don't want to listen to the complaints.In general, I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel due to the unappealing location (in an industrial area next to a refugee home), poor public transport connections (bus/taxi only), inexperienced staff and not meeting Premier Inn standards.

This is the worst hotel I've been in so far.The rooms are nicely and sensibly furnished - but that's about it for the positive.The first evening I found several black hairs in the bathtub and between a “fresh” towel.The bathtub and sink were completely yellowed. The room was also not cleaned during the stay.The biggest negative point, however, is the service.As soon as we arrived, we were greeted at the reception by two completely overwhelmed employees who obviously couldn't cope with their own booking system. After endless back and forth, they managed to give us the two rooms we had reserved. Even though the rooms had already been paid for, they wanted to charge the price again.After we pointed out that the rooms had already been paid for, they found the necessary information, but were unable to issue us an invoice.In the evening at the hotel bar the same tragedy: we had to show the “bartender” in his own refrigerator what a wheat beer is, which glass it belongs in and in the end we typed it into the booking system of his cash register because he couldn't find it .The next day I ordered a decaffeinated coffee - a regular one was made. After repeatedly pointing out that the coffee I had prepared was not decaffeinated, I initially received inappropriate answers to my statement, until on the fourth attempt they understood what the problem was and replied that there is no such thing as decaffeinated coffee.You can drive into the hotel's underground car park without having to buy a ticket or anything similar.To drive out you have to register your license plate at reception and pay the parking space fee of €15 per day. The license plate is then activated in the parking garage system and the barrier for the exit opens at the exit - at least that's the theory.That didn't work either, even though the credit card had already been charged.When we checked out they wanted money for the rooms from us a third time, which we were able to avert by pointing out again that payment had already been made.Nevertheless, the credit card was charged two days after departure. A phone call brought no help (who would have expected it) - you had to check the process and couldn't make any statement. I'm excited to see when we get the money back.All in all, a really poor performance!As already mentioned, the hotel itself is fine, but the staff's incompetence cannot be surpassed.

A bit out of the way but reachable by public transport. Nice rooms but not a proper premier inn.

Family room very spacious

Suitable for self-driving accommodation, about 20 minutes drive from the city. It has been renovated. Unfortunately, the bathroom water is small and it is not comfortable to take a bath!

The reception staff is very helpful and nice. 👍 And room is bright and clean.

We have already stayed in many of the chain's hotels in Germany, most of our stays have been in top hotels so far!Hotel impression:The lobby is equipped with the usual standard equipment for the chain,The building's age can be seen quite clearly in the elevators and also in some of the carpets and the walls of the hallways. The fire doors of the stairwells are hanging and unfortunately there is no outside seating area apart from the hotel entrance in the inner courtyard.Room:The rooms are fairly normal in size, but unfortunately the private bathroom and the neighboring rooms are very noisy.Staff:Compared to the hotels we have previously visited, the staff made a less positive impression on us, less attuned and stressed.Breakfast:Nothing can be said about this because this was not used.Cleanliness:Overall clean hotel except for the signs of wear and tear in the public areasLocation:This will not be evaluated because we intentionally booked it outside and is not relevant to the evaluation.The bus is a 2-minute walk from the hotel and you can get to the main train station in about 20 minutes.

The inside courtyard is very nice I will come again

We were there 2 nights. The rooms were very spacious.The hotel is a bit outside but you can quickly get to the next S or tram station by bus.Parking spaces are also available in front of the hotel.The breakfast is very good.We'd love to come back!

It's a successful hotel in every sense. If I go there again, I won't look anywhere else. It can be very economical for groups of friends.
