Without words!I wanted to book this hotel for a larger group and should contact a specific email address about this. Here I wrote down my concern, whereupon I received an answer that only answered 50% of my questions. I thought nothing of it and asked the remaining questions again in a second email. Again, not all of my questions were answered. At least I received a promo code to book a room. When I used this, I was surprised to find that the promised percentages were not correct and that I received 5% less than expected (not the end of the world in itself, but it does make you feel a bit tricked...). When I asked for the code to be corrected, they stopped answering me. I then tried to reach the hotel by phone. After the band announced "We take your concerns seriously" in two languages, the dial tone sounded briefly and then the phone hung up. I tried it 3 times. So I wrote a reminder email that I was still waiting for a response, which was answered with: "no one here knows what you're talking about." I asked to see the history, to which I had always replied, but still briefly explained what it was about.Unfortunately, I can only classify the following answer as absolutely outrageous and inappropriate. They further assured me that the code was correct, added a mathematically incorrect calculation and advised me to either use it as is or not at all.Thank you very much, then not at all!Unfortunately, the organization and manners in this hotel are anything but customer-friendly. I would advise anyone not to book here. It cost me a lot of nerves.We are now booking our 15 rooms somewhere else.

Functional hotel.Rooms were clean, furnishings were rather functional. We saw an employee once during our weekend stay: upon arrival (and he was very nice too!). At other times, the front desk is either closed or has a sign indicating that the employee is on an "in-house mission."Don't be fooled by the old facade of the house: only the facade is new, behind it everything is a new building.Unfortunately, the patio door in our room was a bit leaky (poorly adjusted), so that the noises from outside penetrated inside. When we arrived we thought that the two packets of ear plugs on the table must have some meaning... The bathroom could definitely do with a renovation. The tile joints are largely gray to dark gray in color, the shower head must have got into the floor at some point (repaired it yourself, there was no one there to talk to) and there were also one or two black spots in the shower. Unfortunately, the shower door seal was also broken.Parking: €20 per night. Within walking distance there is a large parking garage next to a cinema center for €9 per day.All in all, the hotel benefits from its great location in the middle of the city.We didn't try the breakfast, which is subject to a surcharge (at least another €25 per person per night), but preferred to have breakfast in the city center.In summary: the atmosphere was too cold for us and the price was all in all too high.Oh, I would have liked to have announced this directly on site. A QR code is offered that you can use to give feedback to the boss. But at least it didn't work for me.

A beautiful hotel with the best location. Fantastic rooms, great breakfast.Actually really perfect all around.However, a dog or another guest broke into the hallway in front of my room in the afternoon (!). I immediately informed the reception. Nothing more was done that day. The next morning there was a plastic bag over the unchanged presents...This is not worthy of a good hotel...sorry!!!! It's not possible - so 5 rating stars only become 2.(I'll save photos here)

The stay was wonderful. The location on the water and in the city center alone scores points. From the friendly and competent check-in to the easy check-out, it's a well-rounded experience. Comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and the super delicious breakfast buffet (all drinks and food) remain fond memories. We'd love to come back!

The two of us spent a very relaxing weekend at the Dormero Hotel. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. Our room was modernly furnished, spacious and equipped with everything your heart could desire (e.g. minibar, coffee machine, enough towels, large TV). There is also nothing to complain about when it comes to the cleanliness of the room. In addition, the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel also offers a varied range of options, such as a fitness area with the most important equipment, a sauna, a pool (not directly in the hotel, but free to use in the partner hotel Bergström), savings offers and a billiards table. Refreshing water (with mint and lemon), small pastries and sweets are also available free of charge in the reception area. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere thanks to the furnishings, music and lighting. We felt very comfortable and safe at all times. If we had any questions or concerns, we were able to contact the helpful, very friendly and courteous receptionists. Also worth highlighting is the hotel's top location: about a 10-minute walk to the train station, a beautiful location by the water, with many good restaurants and bars around it and about a 10-minute walk to other shops in a street with beautiful, old ones buildings. We can highly recommend the hotel and look forward to our next visit there!

Super delicious breakfast. There was a coffee machine and various drinks in the fridge free of charge in the room. We had a room with a view of the Ilmenau which was very nice. On the weekend in August there was quite loud music and partying on the bridge in the evening until early in the morning. There is also a parking garage for €19 per day.

The location of the hotel “Altes Kaufhaus” in Lüneburg is beautiful and very central. The room was spacious with a view of the Ilmenau. The air conditioning worked perfectly and we cannot at all confirm the deficiencies mentioned in terms of cleanliness in the room. Our room including bathroom was perfect. The breakfast is very, very rich and varied and the service lady was perfect, friendly and had a good overview. The staff at check-in was also very friendly and very helpful. The parking garage is a bit expensive at €19 per day. There is a deduction of 1 point because the reception is only occupied from 1 p.m. If you haven't read this beforehand, you'll have to go through the hassle of checking out at the neighboring hotel.The only downer was our extended booking of the hotel via Agoda. Agoda confirmed an incorrect date in the booking confirmation and this acceptance of the date change caused us almost a week of stress because Agoda support was very cumbersome. However, the hotel is not to blame for this. It was 3 extremely pleasant nights and we have fond memories of Lüneburg.We give it full marks!
