We weren't welcomed despite registering; according to other guests, the boss had said goodbye. Stood in traffic for hours. We then had to look for other accommodation, which was very annoying after a 6 hour drive. No star

On my week-long holiday trip by bike along the Weser cycle path to the north, I set WHV as my goal. After three days, via Nienburg (Weser) - Brake (Unnterweser) - I arrived on the Arcona after booking in advance. Stay from August 6th - 08/10/2024I spent four nights here with breakfast and went on bike rides every day.When I arrived I was warmly welcomed and shown everything important. I felt very comfortable on the ship in what was, for me, a family atmosphere. The cabin, on the water side, was nice and clean - you made your own bed - towels were available - what more do you need?!Every morning there was enough choice for breakfast.Thanks to the dedicated team, keep it up!

An original alternative for a cheap overnight stay.A great breakfast and a super nice team rounded off the visit.The proximity to the south beach, the KW Bridge and the Marine Museum are further highlights.

Positive:The location at the harbor is great, the breakfast is really OK. City and restaurants can be reached quickly. Car parking space for 1 EUR in front of the door.Negative:The beds are a disaster. Not suitable for people over 1.80 m and 90 kg or more. Mattress width about 50 - 60 cm. Mattress thickness about 10 cm. You cannot sit up in the lower bed; the upper bed can be reached via an unsecured, life-threatening ladder. The bunks in the cabin (cell about 6 m²) were not inviting and not particularly clean either. The shared toilets and showers aren't really clean. Drainage in the showers doesn't work properly. Staff seems annoyed. When I complained after the first night, I was not offered an alternative. I also know other hostels or youth hostels, this one is of the worse kind. Price-performance ratio for a double bunk at 90 EUR/night is clearly too high. Left after the first night. The 90 EUR for the second night was still charged. Conclusion Wilhelmshaven is beautiful and always worth a trip, but not on the Arconia. No recommendation

First of all, you should know what you are getting into with a hostel. It definitely doesn't bother me if I have to share the shower or toilet with others.Cabins are not luxury cabins, but you can still sleep very well there.The location is very central.The breakfast is very very good.The captain and her crew are not only friendly and accommodating but also appear very friendly.One can definitely say here:Welcomed as guests, left as friends.

Very friendly, clean and uncomplicated. Spending the night on a ship is not an everyday occurrence. We absolutely recommend it. Great view, delicious simple breakfast, comfortable beds.

It was a great stay on board.The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had booked the overnight stay in a cabin with a bunk bed. The bunk bed ladder was a bit too narrow, but we managed. It was an exciting experience and we spontaneously extended it for another night. But you also have to know that we had great weather. We'll definitely go there again...

If you like communal showers and toilets in the hallway, it's great. We knew this beforehand, so it was ok for one night. There wasn't a lot of activity here, but I'm sure that if there was good occupancy it would be noisy. Nice outdoor area, breakfast was completely fine. For this standard it should be a little cheaper.

The hostel is simply equipped.Bunk beds, small table, small sink, spinning. Toilets and showers in the hallway. Breakfast is from 8 a.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. on weekends. The ship is newly renovated and everything is t clean.A beautiful sun deck invites you to chill out.All in all: gladly again at any time.

Something different to stay overnight.My cabin was rather spartan, but had everything you needed.The shared shower and toilet could use some renovation but everything worked and was authentic.A bit noisy due to the metal construction, but peace is guaranteed after 10 p.m.The location between the south beach and the city center is perfect.The breakfast had enough choice and was tasty, only the rolls didn't seem completely fresh.Price/performance was completely fine. It's just a hostel and hotel.Overall, I would book it again if I came to Wilhelmshaven again.Tip: book directly via the Arcona homepage and not via other booking sites.

Price-performance ratio is right here. Only the shower should be rinsed more often. The staff was incredibly friendly and competent.
