Very, very nice stay with you.The monastery area is wonderful, it's a lovely place to stroll and there's something to discover in every nook and cranny. The hotel itself is extremely quaint, enchanted and romantic. We were able to peek into many of the rooms and are thrilled. Our room was very noisy (you can notice other guests in the hallway all too clearly) but very comfortable (as shown on the homepage). The bathroom was very new. There was free water and house liquor. There is room for improvement when it comes to breakfast, but we won't deduct any points for that. The breakfast room is extremely loud due to its location and condition, which is actually not very pleasant. For the very, very fair overnight price in this beautiful hotel you can only give full points. We'd love to come back!

The monastery is very beautiful and has historical charm. The little monastery shop is great. The employees are very attentive and friendly. We were thought of at breakfast so that we were full. The room was more suitable for seminar participants. We could only sit comfortably on the bed.It would have been nice if the boiler in the room had already been activated before we needed the hot water. Our toilet was in the hallway, but it was just for us. That was good.Especially for all hikers of the Harzer Wandernadel: There is a special stamp directly at the reception.

Perfect very quiet location, very friendly staff, super clean rooms with tasteful modern bathrooms, excellent breakfast, Goslar just 15 minutes away, the hotel is almost a journey on itself, highly recommend. In the room there is a coffee machine (Nespresso clone) 2 free cups are included, more available at the reception against €1 a piece, excellent documentation on the desk with all information about the hotel and local destinations.

The Klosterhotel Wöltingerode is located somewhat out of the way on the edge of the Northern Harz. The nearest train station (Vienenburg) is about 2 km away. From here you can quickly reach beautiful Goslar (10 minutes) or Wernigerode with the Brocken (20 minutes). The hotel itself is located in a large monastery complex with fish farming, farming, beekeeping, bakery, distillery, vegetable garden and fallow deer breeding. You can experience everything on a monastery adventure hike. Distillery tours are also offered. Of course you should also take a look at the church. At the end of the day, a visit to the nearby Klosterkrug (restaurant) is recommended. You can also have a nice coffee here in the afternoon. The house itself has nice staircases and seating in the corners. And in summer the cloister is certainly very attractive. The rooms themselves are quite small (especially the bathroom), but have almost everything you need. It's clean and the beds are really good. One problem, however, is the lack of noise reduction. You can really hear everything that happens in the hallway, every conversation and every door closing...As far as the service is concerned, I can only report positive things. The reception is really very friendly and helpful. And everything went smoothly at breakfast too: the coffee was on the table and the (rich) buffet was always topped up. The service at dinner at Klosterkrug was even better. The waitresses were totally friendly and took individual care of the guests - despite the place being full. And the food there is worth it because it tasted really good. Of course you can also get the nightcap schnapps from the in-house brewery :-)In addition to the monastery adventure trail, you can also take a hike into the Harley Forest or (in summer) visit Lake Vienenburg. Otherwise, exploring nearby Goslar is of course a MUST. From here we actually wanted to go on a hike to the Alm and Granetalsee. Unfortunately the Alm had a private event. Also highly recommended is the Rammelsberg near Goslar (Unesco World Heritage Site), an ore mine that was abandoned after 1000 years and which you can experience with a mine trip and a great guided tour. If you are in this area, you of course also have to explore the Brocken - ideally from Wernigerode with the narrow-gauge railway and old, steaming locomotives. However, the forest landscape on the way is frightening.

We stayed there for three nights as a family (October 4th - October 7th), two adults and a small child. Rooms clean and well furnished. Bathroom a bit small but very clean. Nice welcome greeting with two small ginger-lemon liqueur from the in-house distillery. Bottle of water and a coffee machine with espresso and caffé crema caps. The only negative point was the breakfast, for €19 per person I would have expected a little more. On the whole, however, the hotel can only be recommended. We'll definitely come back

A nice location in itself, a great facility with plenty of parking. The room was simply furnished, some of the furniture had large, visible scratches and signs of wear. At least it was real furniture; my companion's room was furnished by a Swedish manufacturer. That's completely okay in itself, but please no broken furniture.Even a Motel One looks better. The mattresses were completely worn out and absolutely unacceptable. The breakfast buffet was okay, but at €19.50 I expected a little more.Large spoons were only available upon request; oatmeal was sold out that day.A lot of products (butter, margarine, Nutella, etc.) are packaged in small plastic packaging - there is another way.Unfortunately there was only coffee, no cappuccino etc.The coffee itself was already prepared on the tables. That might be okay if you come early. But I don't want to drink coffee in a 3-star hotel that has been sitting in a thermos on the table for quite some time.Checking out was short and to the point, and it could certainly be much friendlier.

The room we stayed in was simple but comfortable. There was also a lovely welcome on the house. Ginger/lemon liqueur from our own production. "Delicious!" Extras such as a bottle of water, a safe and a coffee machine were available. The bathroom was a bit small but clean. This hotel is highly recommended for its location!!! Price-performance ratio is very good. There are friendly staff too. I think everyone can find something they don't like. But we really liked it! Top 👍

We took the distillery tour there, it was very informative and the tasting was also great. And we are regular customers of the schnapps, which are a little more expensive but soooo good - you can taste the difference. The killer was the peppermint schnapps, it tasted so full-bodied and natural - not as chemical as the standards. 😩 Unfortunately it is no longer manufactured.
