Cozy atmosphere, good service. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is highly recommended, the location is close to Eggenfelden train station. We liked it very much. The place has a lot of sights and nice localities. Overall everything was very nice and pleasant.

If you're looking for something cheap but close to the city or something clean, friendly and easy to walk around - this is absolutely the right place for you! I was there in August with two small children and was totally overwhelmed by the warmth of the staff, the child-friendliness and the “togetherness”. It's clearly not a luxury hotel, but we weren't looking for one. We needed a retreat that was clean but where we could still enjoy time alone. We absolutely found that there. The city center is just a few minutes' walk away and the outdoor swimming pool is also really close by. We really liked it - thank you very much!

I recently stayed at Hotel Garni Leitl, an experience that fell far short of my expectations. The most significant issue was a complete loss of electricity in my room throughout the night. This wasn’t merely an inconvenience; it disrupted my stay significantly. Unable to use my laptop for work and with no way to charge my phone, I felt completely disconnected. I believe potential guests should be aware of these possible issues. Additionally, when I raised the matter with the morning receptionist, he explained how such outages can happen even in our own homes, rather than offering an apology or actively addressing the situation.

In the hallways you notice that it used to be a nursing home, but that's not a bad thing for me. The rooms are very clean and spacious with a large balcony. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The price/performance ratio is good there. I also think the beer machine is positive.😅The rooms are simple but clean. I think the whole atmosphere resembles a hospital or a retirement home. It even looks like this in the hallway. The breakfast is also OK.For 1-2 nights this hotel is fine.

Had a seminar that took place in a seminar room in this hotel. The corridors and seminar rooms are very old. Unfortunately, there is no coffee machine for the meeting rooms either. Toilets in the hallway had probably been broken for a long time, you always had to go to the ground floor. I can't judge the general hotel and room service.

We had a day seminar in a small room. There was an extremely musty smell on the first floor. Stairs and hallways are worn and uncool retro! I can't judge the rooms and the service.

I've been there several times nowand I will always be happy to come back, especially since it is easy to reach by train and if you come by car there is even a parking space at the house

The reception was more than unfriendly. First you were given a piece of paper where you had to enter your details again - even though these had already been sent when you booked. Then you were asked in a curt manner and in non-standard German whether you had read the other piece of paper that was stuck to the counter. It says "for the sake of the environment" you should forego the room cleaning and get a free drink. You then get a piece of paper with “free drink” written on it - you can then redeem it for a vending machine drink from the local brewery. During reception times... I was greeted by the old people's home charm in the hallways and a dark hallway. The light bulb was defective. The room was also unheated. When I arrived at 6 p.m., I turned the heating directly to 5. Unfortunately, the heating goes into low mode quite early, so my room and the heating were cold at 10:30 p.m. Estimated not 17 degrees. Luckily the shower was hot and so I was able to crawl into the worn bed frame with a 14cm mattress, feeling a little warmer. And fall asleep shivering under the summer blanket. There was still rubbish from the previous person behind the bedside cabinets. And there is no socket at the small desk, so I had to use the extension cord from the TV to charge it. In the morning, taking a warm shower is out of the question. The breakfast is mediocre. Put there carelessly and with liquid scrambled eggs. If you want to test what it feels like in a retirement home/hospital, this is the right place for you.

Breakfast was just bad, coffee machine was broken for 2 days, the replacement was inedible. Rooms were clean but there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway and bathroom. You can't get rid of the smell of a retirement home without renovating the walls and floors. When we complained to reception about the coffee, the only response was that the machine was now working again, no excuse for two days of bad coffee. Not recommended.

The smooth check-in outside reception hours was positive. After a short notice, the room card could be deposited in a "Key Boy" and ejected using a PIN. Very positive, as the arrival time was spontaneously postponed due to traffic.The entrance area was fine and the breakfast was fine as well.The hallway looks like a hospital. There was an unpleasant scent in the room that was very pungent.The furniture is also closer to a hospital than a hotel. The typical corners where dust can collect were not cleaned by the staff, and there was also a thick layer of dust on the mirror.The heating was completely rusted and the windowless bathroom smelled musty and some of the joints were moldy. The towels smelled like they were stored next to the kitchen (the smell of old grease) and the baked goods from breakfast were sometimes underbaked.All in all, the pictures that are made available online absolutely do NOT show what is offered.

Unfortunately, the pungent nursing home smell and the dark hallways were annoying, the large sliding doors to the bathroom remind me of operating room doors, and the view from the balcony wasn't great either! The headrest of the bed was torn and worn. But it was clean and the breakfast was very good, the service from reception and the nice lady at breakfast was very good! But we couldn't imagine staying longer than 2 nights.

So it will probably be my first and last stay here. The rooms are okay and the breakfast is certainly better. Unfortunately, the ability to park your vehicle doesn't make up for the dreary atmosphere. Unfortunately it's no longer on the shortlist for me. But as I said, it's completely okay for one night.
