It is a great riding and sports hotel with very nice staff. Whether relaxing in the forest or in the wellness area, sporting activities in the hotel's swimming area or the riding facilities... nothing left to be desired here. At the end of the day you can end the evening with the best cuisine in the restaurant. A very clear recommendation!

We were in this hotel for the fourth time after a while and are disappointed.But first the positive. The stable staff were very nice and accommodating and tried to please everyone. The hotel complex and the rooms were clean and the staff were mostly nice and friendly, but we had the impression that the staff didn't make any effort to please the guests. At breakfast we were told where to find something, but it was immediately left out that you could also order other types of coffee from the staff. The breakfast itself was very tasty. Unfortunately, this cannot be said for dinner. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not right at all. The dishes were very small and carelessly prepared. Plus, they didn't really taste good either. A slightly larger selection of normal dishes would also have been desirable. We were also very disappointed that our room didn't have a bathtub for the price we paid. Otherwise we always had one in the room when we were there and assumed that the prices would be the same again!Unfortunately, the leisure activities in the hotel itself also cost money. (One hour of billiards for €10)Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly.For dinner, however, we can recommend the relatively nearby Marktklause restaurant in Harzgerode.

Nice hotel with a very cozy look for the rooms and hotel. Seeing the riding arena from above is unique and very cool.Swimming pool, sauna and sports hall are very pleasant.The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had. Clear recommendation to the hotel here.

I have been a regular guest in the hotel's spa for 3 years, which has a very cozy and attractive atmosphere. It's always nice and warm, like a sauna area should be. It is always clean so you can feel comfortable. The spa staff regularly offers infusions in the large sauna, which always help me relax (thanks to Julia and Dana). The staff in the spa area deserves praise, as they are always friendly and courteous.

A somewhat outdated hotel, but very clean. However, we were disappointed with the sauna area. Our 7-year-old daughter loves going to the sauna, but she doesn't like undressing in front of strangers. We were then directed to the sauna area. A compromise with a wrapped towel was also not possible. It's a shame that you can't adapt the oh-so-holy house rules for children.

I recently spent two nights in the hotel and absolutely loved it.I had my little dog with me, which wasn't a problem at all.On the contrary, they kindly made sure that I got a room near the side corridor.The employees were all super nice, friendly, accommodating and very attentive!This was evident in many small gestures.The breakfast was so varied and beautifully presented, there was nothing to complain about.I chose the smallest option for the room, which was completely sufficient.The only minimal point of criticism would be the clairaudience... but that would really be looking for a fly in the ointment ;)(I have now booked the deluxe version for November to be able to enjoy this stone bathtub :))It was also great to visit the bison herd and the surrounding area overall...a dream for nature lovers.I'm looking forward to our visit in November :)

I've never eaten so badly.I ordered an ostrich steak for a whopping €42. It took over an hour and it wasn't a steak, it was two very small thin slices of meat. I've never eaten something so dry and fried to death. Too bad for the animal. If there was to be herb butter, she didn't ask after I asked. I got herb quark again for the baked potato, which was half raw. I was annoyed after eating here. The store is awesome from the outside and totally yucky inside.

Everything was perfect, a great hotel!! We will definitely come back again!!!! The rooms are beautifully furnished and there is a very extensive breakfast. The swimming pool is large. Overall, more of a 4 star hotel.

We had only been there one night, this in advance.We were greeted in a friendly manner but were told that we couldn't get into our room until 3 p.m. as they were still cleaning thoroughly - that was completely ok. In the meantime we went on the safari, which was really great and educational at the same time :) afterwards we went for a walk and were then able to check in. This was uncomplicated and friendly. The room was very large and the free-standing bathtub was a real eye-catcher. However, we expected a little more for such a high-priced room, such as there being no long black hair on the balcony (my husband is bald and I'm blonde - they weren't ours), the side of my bed had a black dirt stain on the paint and it There was no conditioner for the hair. The light in the bathroom was so dark that the door unfortunately had to be left open (the bulb was broken) and there was no mini fridge.A positive thing was a towel and bathrobe set that you could pick up at the spa counter. We also took advantage of the massage offer - the staff were very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately we got something different than what we ordered (ordered was a foot and head massage). We got everything else except that, even though I asked and said or asked during the massage if that was correct.We were really disappointed with the food, the price-performance ratio was minus -1000%.We paid just under €25 for 5 nuggets fried to death and a small portion of fries (without salt or seasoning) as well as a beer and a special. The dinner was really subpar, unfortunately, I had a salad for 10.80 which was very simple and a mini mushroom soup for 8.90€, my husband had a schnitzel with fries, a small portion of ketchup for just under 29€ plus 2 beers and a shandy all together we were 80€ for this meal! the staff was very nice. We're happy to pay more for a nice meal, but not like that. Unfortunately, we lacked any understanding. The breakfast was well balanced and also had something for vegetarians.The hotel and the complex in general are well maintained but are getting old. Like the carpets in the hallway were all stained and old.All in all, we spent over €400 for one night including food and massages. We really would have expected more in terms of luxury and ambience.But everyone should form their own opinion and all impressions are always subjective ;)

Room (maisonette) for 4 is really good in size and furnishings, well furnished.Unfortunately there is mold in the bathroom and on the windows, something urgently needs to be done here.Breakfast was excellent, the evening buffet wasn't ours, but that's a matter of taste.Service in the restaurant was absolutely top and friendly, check-in was great and quick.Check out was ok, we were supposed to pay for the free stay and services on site, although there was another agreement.I would also have liked people to at least ask if everything was okay and if you felt comfortable.Unfortunately, that was completely missingis absolutely part of it for me.Riding lessons were great, best regards to V. For the great lessons and understanding.

Very nice hotel with clean, very chic rooms. Breakfast and dinner and service were very good. We were extremely satisfied and will spend a few days there again next year and then use the swimming pool again before breakfast.

Discovered a herd of bison while hiking and, after a little Googling, found the restaurateur that belonged to it. We made an appointment for a dinner with a buffet and arrived promptly at 6 p.m. with an empty stomach and great expectations (also due to the hotel's online presence).The first impression: big house, with some maintenance behind it. We were then sent up stairs and corridors, through an empty restaurant, past the riding arena and into the actual restaurant.We were seated in a friendly manner and the buffet was explained to us. When we asked, we were told the price (€30 per person).Unfortunately the buffet wasn't what the ambience would have hoped for.The dishes were not well balanced; a hint of the spiciness of the cold cucumber soup would have been nice.Two types of meat: a Galloway steak or a piece of wild boar were offered. However, the wild boar had already died several times and was very dry. Unfortunately, bison was only available for an additional charge.There was little choice at the buffet and the seemingly careless composition of the dishes could no longer compensate for the friendliness of the chef.High-quality, regional cheese would look very good on the beautifully presented cheese platter.The visit disappointed us.

We only ate in the Bonasus restaurant without staying in the hotel. We were very disappointed with the food. The price-performance ratio no longer fits there at all. Warm chocolate muffin from the microwave, rock hard, for €9 is quite a deal. Service was great, but unfortunately it doesn't make the food any better. A pity

We stayed at the hotel again at the weekend. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed this weekend. The actual spa and wellness area was more of an amusement park this Sunday and had nothing to do with relaxation. In principle I have nothing against children, but if you pay money to switch off something. But then children everywhere jump into the pools, shout, etc., or the whirlpool is used as a private paddling pool, which is really disappointing. We will avoid the hotel during holiday periods.
