I had a nice single room, bed was very good. Excellent soundproofing - very quiet despite being on a busy street.The breakfast was first class. Rolls delicious, scrambled eggs great, fresh fruit salad, coffee with milk was a delight.

Very nice hotel with incredibly friendly staff. The location is just not suitable for sleeping. Located in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, it was incredibly loud.

Very nice service, prices very acceptable, breakfast not that cheap, 50€ for two with 4 coffees plus 2 fresh ojuice - you can keep it smaller 😉The room faced the street - you must like city life.But it's so central and, as I said, it's nice to sit down there for a bit in the evening.BOCHUM I come from you!@

Good morning. Mega central and right in the middle, if that's what you're looking for, the Hotel Tucholsky is the right place for you. We spent two nights here as a family and were very impressed by the manner and friendliness of the staff. We knew the location and the city, so it wasn't a surprise (central = also noisy when the windows are open).The only minor criticism of the rooms, which are stylishly furnished and very clean, is that the doors sometimes close loudly.Many thanks to the Tucholsky team!

Very central hotel. You are right in Bochum's nightlife district. Parking garage directly opposite. Rooms are quite big. Bathroom is well equipped. Plate breakfast is very fresh. There is a free smoothie to start the day. No breakfast buffet isn't a bad thing!!! However, there is one point deducted because the cleanliness of the room wasn't that great. It was a bit dusty and the shower seal wasn't quite right either.

WiFi only in the toilet, food good but the stairwell always smells of grease and leftover food in the evening. Good location and not too loud. Rooms don't look like they do in the pictures because they are a bit run down but otherwise well equipped with air conditioning, for example. You have a view of a disgusting backyard where it is neither loud nor bright.

We were invited to a birthday nearby and stayed here from Saturday to Sunday.It was perfect! Great location, the room was large, clean and very nicely decorated. There was a lot going on in the surrounding area at night, you couldn't hear anything about it in the room.The staff deserves special mention! Both the early shift and the late shift employees were extremely friendly and helpful!We would like to come again!

Our stay was very pleasant and the staff was super friendly. The food is also very good. Everything was clean and modern.One only disadvantage: in the summer it gets very warm in the room with no real way to cool it down (there is only a fan in the room), but otherwise everything was great!

Overnight stay on the third floor, no elevator. Smoking is only possible on the street in front of the hotel. The view to the rear goes over shabby city roofs to the residents' dingy balconies. The floor of the room is worn swimming pool style and looks like dirty white “cast plastic”. The whole room is blindingly white and correspondingly echoing. The white blackout blind has holes. The view from the bed to the bathroom through the sun-drenched glass door forces you to wake up from sleep. The surrounding rooms can also be heard well. It sounds like some people here like to move their furniture around at night. I think you can only spend one night here when you're drunk, unfortunately I booked 3 nights. Unfortunately not for pleasure but for work. You'll look in vain for a refrigerator. The area itself is a party mile with the appropriate décor of bums, crazy people, teenagers and international “flair”. There is a smell of kitchen waste and frying fat coming from the lower floor. These rooms are absolutely not recommended. Pictures will be added later.

Nice hotel at the beginning of the Bermuda3Eck and therefore close to restaurants, sights, supermarkets, a parking garage and an underground station. The rooms are really well insulated as you can’t hear anything from outside when the windows are closed. So far, it has always been very clean (especially the bathrooms!), the staff is really friendly and the breakfast is really good (they also have vegan and gluten-free options), just a tad bit expensive in my eyes when you only eat a porridge or a yogurt bowl (19,50€). If you are looking for a central accommodation with clean rooms, I would definitely recommend staying here.A few remarks from my end: We happened to have mold in the water tank of our coffee machine. After letting the staff now, they told us that they don’t check this regularly, but that they will take a look at it. Which is nice, I guess, but first of all it should be part of a regular cleaning routine, and second of all it would have been a nice gesture to get a coffee on the house or something similar. / When the windows are closed, it gets warm in the rooms really quickly. There is a free-standing fan but I’m not sure if that will be enough during summer. / When it comes to late check-ins, they are not that flexible (I wonder what happens when you get stuck in traffic and can’t make it in time) plus that you are getting contradicting information (I was told different times than my colleague). / The bed linen seemed quite worn down due to pilling. / The elevator is SUPER small and some of the rooms also are. / The walls within the hotel seem to be pretty thin as you hear almost everything going on in the hallway, and you can hear the pipes when someone opens a faucet, for example. / The service around breakfast time can be really slow, so if you are in a hurry and/or have to be somewhere, make sure to get there early or order the breakfast for take-away.

We had breakfast there. The Italian breakfast was great. The country roll, Italian. Salami & ham were very tasty (would have been nice if there had been 2 rolls included). The cocoa was only lukewarm, which I objected to. They then brought me another hot cocoa. Then I ordered a pot of Earl Gray tea...it wasn't brewed with boiling water, which made it look like Darjelling and didn't really taste good. Had it returned too, which they kindly didn't charge me for

I was at Tucholsky on business and since my employer paid for my accommodation and breakfast, I can't say much about it. However, I had my daughter (5 year old) with me and of course I paid for breakfast privately for her. It was agreed that I would pay for what she ate. At checkout I was allowed to pay €39.80 for two breakfasts (2 tea, 2 Nutella rolls and a fruit salad). When I intervened, the only blunt comment was that she didn't know what was going on, she can't call her colleague now and it's very busy right now and I'm coming at a bad time anyway... well... you should think about it It is suitable to operate the reception and restaurant in parallel. I definitely didn't feel well treated.Otherwise, our room was large and modern, but a bit old. What was difficult was that there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign and the cleaning lady simply disposed of our deposit bottles, but that didn’t matter after the breakfast thing…
