We only drank coffee, but the staff was completely overwhelmed and then it took more than an hour for the coffee to arrive! Not possible for a 5* hotel!!P.S. The following explanation from the 'General Manager' is also not convincing! With the explanation that new staff were there...then trained staff must also have been present...that wasn't the case.Huge chaos everywhere, orders didn't reach the right guest...ect, employees were completely overwhelmed. All in all, this is and was bad management, subpar for a 5* hotel. But you always get away with it, there are enough people willing to pay your astronomical prices! And we weren't the only ones who complained on site, sometimes loudly.Management rating: 0“Substitute!”

A fantastic hotel that certainly benefits from its location and exciting history, but clearly thrives on the fantastic staff. We came with friends for a little break from everyday life and were warmly welcomed from the first second: every team member gives you a genuine smile, the service at meals is very attentive and really hospitable. The food and drinks on offer were top notch - everything was simply delicious.I found it remarkable that the hotel's new general manager, Mr. Wieckenberg, took the time to introduce himself personally and happily pointed out the amenities of his hotel. At this point, an extraordinary thank you to Ms. Liedtke, who shared exciting facts about the hotel with such warmth and convincing competence, thereby making the stay very special and uniquely personal.I'm already looking forward to my next break here.

I'm in the hotel for work and can't stop raving about it. Wonderful, just great. View, room, service, smells, the feeling here... also because of the history. Great. The scenery and everything within a few kilometers is special.

Nice corner, it's a shame that the trees around it have continued to grow and block the view of the other mountains, but that's a good thing.
