Very conveniently located hotel for the city center. Very nicely done by the equipment. 2 parking spaces at the back and a garden - great.Unfortunately, one of the two male employees was so unpleasant that his manner spoiled our stay. It started on Friday when I pointed out the bad TV picture, after all it was the Olympics. The quality was reversed like it was when the image came in via the antenna. He acted as if this was completely new to him and besides he didn't have a technician on the weekend.I also got a typical answer from him when I asked for scrambled eggs after breakfast on Saturday. Answer: Yes, if you ask.When I asked for scrambled eggs on Sunday, the other employee said it wasn't available today (for whatever reason).The breakfast was overall very clear. 2 types of jam, 1 type of honey. Other types of jam were not available on Sunday either. At least there was Nutella. Sausage and cheese were brought to the table on a platter, which was fine.The rooms are not cleaned on weekends. I discovered this on Saturday afternoon. When I asked, I was told that it was in a booklet that was available in the room. Apart from the fact that the booklet wasn't there, I don't see the need to read any handouts. I expect this to be communicated on the website. Then I wouldn't have booked this hotel.

The Hotel Goethe Haus is a small, family-run hotel where guests are looked after with a lot of passion. The rooms are tastefully furnished and some have a balcony. We slept very well in the new box spring bed. The breakfast was nicely prepared with various salads, muesli, jam,There was actually something for every taste in cheese and sausage. The bread and the fresh bakery rolls were also very, very tasty. You could also order fried eggs or scrambled eggs (which are freshly prepared)... We really enjoyed our stay at the Goethe House... if the opportunity arises we will definitely come back here...

Stayed here for one night, very, very nice operators who make you feel like you're part of the family. The room we had was lovingly furnished as was the whole house. Breakfast was very good, especially fresh bakery rolls and no frozen goods. All in all just great..... highly recommended 👍👍👍... anyone who has something to complain about here has no idea!!

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and decided to stay there again this year. It has been absolutely lovingly renovated. I'm surprised at how beautiful it turned out. The garden is also so beautiful, made with so much love. I was able to sit outside in the evening. Chilled drinks are also available. Even free tea at your leisure. Good coffee in the morning is not a given either. Otherwise there was only stale filter coffee. Therefore great!I found the staff to be very helpful. I have been asked several times if I need anything else. The hotel is super centrally located.Therefore very pleasant. I'll be back

I had a short stay of 2 nights and was thrilled by the hotel's super central but still quiet location, the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly staff. The historic hotel was renovated with great attention to detail and the rooms were functionally furnished. The entire house is very well maintained including the garden, the rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is rich and everything is available. I felt very comfortable and would like to come back at any time.

This was our sixth time at the Goethe House, every year for the wine festival. It was like coming home all these years. Last year the hotel was taken over by new owners, and the new owner didn't refuse any of our wishes and was super nice. Unfortunately, the management was handed over to the next generation and what can I say, this unfriendly young man who doesn't ask if he can help with the suitcases, who can't tell you the WiFi password because it's in the book in the room, who prefers drinks his coffee instead of serving the guests first, who prefers to leave the parking spaces free because we didn't book them in advance, who isn't able to book two breakfasts for the weekend on a Friday lunchtime because he supposedly doesn't have 4 rolls left for the whole weekend, who doesn't even mow the lawn so that you can sit outside (it was so high - impossible)... I don't know what else I could write, no matter what you asked, he just didn't come across and tried to say something “friendly” to us. If you're not courteous and friendly, you shouldn't run a hotel! I would like to mention that the cleaning staff and the breakfast staff on Saturday morning were very nice.It's a shame, we enjoyed being there and have always recommended the house, but under these conditions we will probably have to look for something else next year...

A fantastic place to stay! We had the Leipzig room on the ground floor and are absolutely satisfied. Very clean, comfortably furnished and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in abroad. Didn't want to get up :) The location of the hotel is great. To the right you go into nature for a walk and to the left you are directly in the city. Check-in and check-out went smoothly and very friendly. Our dog also felt comfortable. I also thought it was great that you could make coffee or tea at any time from the machine. Really perfect!

I was so excited that I don't even know where to start.I came as a single person with a dog and stayed in the Leipzig room for one night. The welcome was very polite and accommodating. The room door was unlocked and a very comfortable interior with a box spring bed, desk and sofa awaited me! My dog was even greeted with a blanket, a water bowl and a treat 😍. The bathroom was very modern with a shower.I slept fantastically, that means the mattress was perfect!!!Breakfast included wholemeal rolls, various cold cuts, cheese, jam, Nutella, eggs, fruit, various cereals, fresh milk, fresh juice and then you are asked if you would like scrambled eggs, so the service was excellent!!! Attention is paid to regional foods as well as organic foods. The hotel is very centrally located, but you don't hear any of this in the hotel. I can only praise the owner and his employees, you are great, stay as you are..I felt so comfortable that I spontaneously asked at breakfast in the morning if I could stay one more night and just like that, I had a wonderful night's sleep and breakfast!I will definitely come back, it was a first-class short vacation thanks to the Goethe House, which was prepared with so much love
