The hotel area downstairs and the restaurant are clean and nicely decorated. The rooms and bathroom are quite small, the shower was probably forgotten during the renovation, but everything is very clean. WiFi very bad.Great parking lot, the outside area is also nice.The breakfast buffet was like this, but the menu had more to offer, the food was good and as a vegetarian you also have a pretty good selection, the price-performance ratio is right.What wasn't possible was that the service staff seemed completely overwhelmed and annoyed. Sometimes you had to wait 30 minutes for the drinks. If you asked politely, you got a stroppy and unqualified answer. There was at the reception or There was actually only one very friendly employee behind the counter, even the boss was 95% unfriendly.Even the unfriendliness resulted from the fact that the hotel was fully booked last weekend, something like that just doesn't work! As a guest you no longer dared to ask or say anything.I can't recommend this hotel unless you want to experience a slightly different, friendly hotel… "The Rhön is beautiful, even more beautiful without the Rhön." *Good luck!

Simple hotel. Location is nice at the top of the hill. Rooms are rather simple, a bit outdated. No full-length mirror in the room, unfortunately no refrigerator either. Shower with curtain.

Super nice, small hotel. Rooms are simple but clean and nicely decorated. Location perfect. Thank you for the great service and the delicious breakfast, the food in the restaurant was also simply great. Gladly again at any time.

Simple and super clean rooms. Overnight stay with breakfast very cheap.The associated restaurant is highly recommended. Food really tasty and good portions. At this point, a big compliment to all the employees, always friendly and in a good mood.

We were at Waku again for the men's weekend. This year we had fantastic weather, were able to model fly on the southern slope and had a lot of fun together.We are already looking forward to next year

The location is very nice, the rooms are clean, the beds are also good but the pillows are unusable. It's better to bring your own, the breakfast is good, all in all it's good. I would book again.

Location Wasserkuppe - what else can you say? Mega. Staff were nice, rooms were satisfactory (price/performance ratio was right!), but very, very noisy and could hardly sleep. There was talking in the next room (not loudly), but you understood every word and when you have a sandwich room like that, it comes from all sides. Be sure to note the service times and opening hours of the reception.

If you like it rustic, this is the place for you; You have to be able to tolerate minor defects. All the employees are nice, the included breakfast is very good, they try to act regionally and sustainably (e.g. room service only if necessary). Spending the night directly on the Wasserkuppe - it was a real adventure in the snowstorm!

Great room, good breakfast, excellent dinner and nice staff. What more could you want when hiking?! ...The view and sunset on the Wasserkuppe are “free” on top of that.

In my opinion, the furnishings are a bit too spartan for a sports hotel. For example, we missed the ability to hang up or dry wet clothes. But we also had the cheaper room category at €60 per night in the neighboring building. The gentleman at the reception is very accommodating, unfortunately the two ladies are not that service-oriented. Once again, big praise and thank you to the nice lady who is responsible for breakfast :)
