I stayed with my family for 3 nights.It's already been 25 years since I started using this hotel. In recent years, the dining room has been renovated and is now very clean. The staff have always been very friendly and kind. The food is also very delicious. The room is an old-fashioned type, but I felt it was good. I will definitely use this hotel again when I go to Wolfhagen from now on.

We don't come here often because we're from the Warburg area, but we can only say good things.Attention, the boat is not a fast food restaurant. Neither the waiting time nor the prices!But the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The food is always delicious, including changing seasonal and daily specials.We'd love to come back and can't understand some of the reviews here.

What a surprise! When the four of us were traveling, we only went there to eat: good home-style food (with an emphasis on good), extremely nice service, a feel-good atmosphere and a schnapps that is called euthanasia here, so humor is also there. Reserved for another visit and loved it again!

We were guests today, very friendly service and what can I say, the asparagus with the smoked trout was very, very tasty. The hollandaise is freshly made with a subtle lemon note. To top it all off, there was the delicious parfait for dessert...unfortunately I took the picture without chocolate sauce. Interior Clocky but still modern. We felt very comfortable and would like to thank the team for the great food.

We were there with a group (23 people). The rooms were "for the most part" OK, but some rooms urgently need to be improved in terms of cleanliness. Everyone enjoyed the dinner very much. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par: they could have easily made double the sales on drinks. Reservations were made early for the number of people......The breakfast buffet was completely cleared away after half an hour in the morning: scrambled eggs etc., boiled eggs, bread and cold cuts were no longer supplied.

We spent two nights there. The room was simple, quiet, the bathroom was clean and we didn't need anything more. A family-run hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. German cuisine, sumptuous and very tasty. Rich intercontinental breakfast buffet. Very beautiful half-timbered houses in Wolfhagen. If we need accommodation nearby again, we would be happy to come back to the boat.

Hello.. Went to the Schiffchen for the first time today.. Because the snack bar in Wolfhagen, which belongs to the same owner, was closed.Well... We were hoping that the schnitzel and the delicious hunter's sauce, which is why we always come to Wolfhagen from Volkmarsen and enjoy it at the May snack bar, would be about as good. Of course we knew that it would probably cost a little more in terms of price. The nice lady gave us a friendly welcome and we didn't have to wait too long for the food... But then 😱Oha.. The bang didn't take long to arrive And so we were quite astonished when the house-style schnitzel, which is actually Jägerschnitzel, costs over 21 euros.. 😱 When I asked my wife why she was so listlessly picking at her food, she said give it a try.. That I did that too... 🫣I have no idea what messed up the kitchen. But the sauce wasn't for non-alcoholics and I know what I'm saying because there have been people in my life who paid me to cook food 😉Phew.. the only thing missing was that the cork of the wine bottle could be found somewhere in the sauce.. Awesome 😳When it comes to my GRILL pan, I can only agree with a few of the previous comments. I mean it was just enough for me as an old man, but I only had fried potatoes for 2 medallions, so I had to steal a few fries from my wife, who had half of the schnitzel anyway stopped eating because she no longer had an appetite so she couldn't eat my 3rd medallion without something. I think she was more afraid of going out the door tipsy given the alcohol content of the hunter's sauce, which doesn't even come close to the delicious sauce from the snack bar .So the conclusion is... Sorry, everyone has a bad day.. But that was nothing... Nothing to see or taste of any spices.. Except a little salt on the fries..GRILL pan and schnitzel are definitely too expensive anyway.SORRY.. 🙈
