The hostel is in a great location not too far from Hamburg HB and the bus station. The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom needs a little refreshing. …

I travelled with my family to Hamburg few days before. We booked 2 rooms on 16 October for 1 night stay. For me this is my second time in the same hostel in Hamburg city. We loved it 💕. The price for the rooms was very much worthy. And the staffs are very professional and friendly. Especially in the reception Ashique and Sino both people are very friendly and professional. For the every problems they solve it quickly in a good manner. I appreciate their talent. Different indoor entertainments which we enjoyed alot. The bartender (I forgot his name,mr.vinod something) he prepared a cocktail 🍸 and that cocktail was awesome 😎👍.. The hostel was almost full that day and was not possible for early check in but one guy in the reception helped us to get 1 room for the early check in. It was very helpful to my parents to take rest after the long journey. Everything was great with the experience in the A&O hostel in Hamburg city. Thank you very much for the excellent service and we will come again.

The place is run down dirty and noisy and total budget. You need a room card to use the toilet in the lobby!!! Staff works hard but they seem not to be able to manage the flow of people. Rooms with dirty walls and smelly bathroom. Hostel located in old industrial building. The worst was dusty wooden windows which looked like from the 70 ties. They were totally not sound proof. Hostel surrounded by super noisy streets and even at 3 o'clock in the night traffic like on highway. Worst experience ever. Not to mention lack of air con in the room not eveb a basic fan.

I dont see anything wrong with this place. Rooms were good, bathroom was good, maybe a little small, but it is a big city. Shower was also decent. Beds were good and the rooftop was also great. Price was also fair and breakfast was decent. Most of the time the place was quiet, someone were up in the middle of the night and were a little loud, but some staff told them to keep it quiet. Definetly recommend this place, i had a good stay.

-- Extremely noisy room. With the windows closed you could hear absolutely every car on the street, including people talking outside. It's as if we had no windows at all and the quality of sleep was very bad. I stayed on the 1st floor. …

I am very disappointed.Very dirty and old accommodation. We were given a room with 4 beds when we booked a double room. Dust and dirty spots all around. Hair dryer full of dust. The plaster on the walls is crumbling. The shower is broken. The price is TOO high for this type of accommodation. I wouldn't want to stay in this place again. I am very disappointed. The picture is too beautiful compared to reality. It is located 15 minutes from the train station. This is the only plus I can say about this accommodation. However, the train station does not seem to be a safe place. I always tried to avoid it.

The reception is far from "happy". Trust me. I have never seen anyone so tired. The location, as well as the whole city, is torn to shreds, there is nowhere left to look that isn't under renovation. Sure it's next to a station, so is every other hostel. The metal beds make loud noises at every turn, the electric sockets do not work, the cliantele is mostly young and reckless (which is to be expected so it is actully fine), but there were also older people who don't have the same excuse to misbehave, the air in the rooms will make your throat hurt. You have to be heavily intoxicated to get a good sleep, in which case someone who isn't pays the price.Dear whoever is thinking about staying here,Pay just a few euros extra somewhere else and you will have a much more enjoyable time. I was ready to pay 50€ for a single room in the middle of the night after a customer punched my bed when I tried turning around in the creaky metal bed. It is unsafe, unsanitary and not worth ruining your trip.Edit2: oh yeah, I also heard the unmistakable sound of someone pleasing himself in the dorm at night. Someone also came to the dorm after midnight talking on speaker phone. Again: I cant recommend the place.

Sure, it’s a Hostel. And if you are looking for a cheap & central option, this is great. Close to public transport, supermarket, etc.Rooms are clean and spacious, have hangout area, bar, not pricey.BUT: it’s extremely loud (street + neighbors) and no AC. So if you travel during summer, buy ear plugs else it will be impossible!
