As part of an Elbe bike tour, we spent the night here with our tent in the garden. The road in the immediate vicinity is hardly busy (only a little more in the morning). Wonderful stay at a fair price with a nice hostess and very, very clean! You should stock up on food before you arrive as there is nothing in the immediate vicinity. The next option is Bleckede, approx. 4 away, with numerous restaurants and shops. However, the ferry must be used for this. Thank you for the great overnight stay and hospitality.

I was at the old school with my daughter in July and we really enjoyed the accommodation and Ms. Sühr's warm manner. We found the exhibition about the former German-German border and Ms. Sühr's personal descriptions very impressive. Clean and functional rooms and a great breakfast on the terrace meant we were well fortified for the next stage to Dresden. We'd be happy to come again at any time, next time we'll think about dinner before crossing the Elbe :-)

Totally nice hostess in our “emergency accommodation”. A great hostel for cyclists. Not far from the Elbe cycle path and very quiet. The accommodation is simple and very clean. There is also the possibility of camping. We give it a full 5 stars.

The "Old School" attracts cyclists and walkers with a sign from the Elbe dike that explains that there is a cafe 600 m away from the dike. When you arrive you will find out from a tiny note in a display case that the cafe has been discontinued for the long term. How nice - being fooled again.

The "Alte Schule" is a simple hostel that is clean and well maintained. There are 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms, with breakfast included on request. The hostel is suitable as a starting point for cycling tours in the area or as a stopover for tours along the Elbe.

This year we set off on a "Bike & Bed" tour for the first time and our first stop was in the "Alte Schule".The rooms were clean and tidy and we were able to relax wonderfully in the beds from the exertions of the day. But the highlight was the sumptuous, healthy breakfast.Many thanks to the nice landlady

Very nice, uncomplicated host/accommodation.Will be requested by telephone to hand over the keys, approx. 10-15 minutes..Offers room breakfast, but also campsites with breakfast available. Self-service drinks fridge in the annex.

Great accommodation in an idyllic setting and totally friendly. We came spontaneously by bike and the hostess drove out specially. Great amenities and a great price! I would love to come back!
