Nice hotel, but not a 4 star. The rooms are to cheap and not well equipped. Typical northern coastal friendliness: a little bit rough but hearty. Of course several health clubs and courses.

I stayed in this hotel for two days due to a trade fair. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, which made the stay very pleasant. The e-charging station is particularly noteworthy. Charging and paying worked smoothly, which is a big advantage for electric car drivers like me. The hotel could promote this service even more, as it can certainly be a decisive advantage for many guests. The breakfast was good and they even make a fresh omelette upon request. The selection was solid and sufficient, with no particular highlights that went beyond the usual standard. The hotel grounds are very large and spacious and offer a variety of leisure activities that are particularly attractive for families with children. There is access to the swimming pond, a table tennis table, a tennis court, a fire pit, a barbecue and a playground - really excellent for a relaxing stay.I stayed overnight in the SorrerHaus under the roof. The room had standard furnishings, but they were already a bit old. Nevertheless, the room was clean and well maintained. There was no air conditioning, but that wasn't a problem given the current temperatures.Unfortunately, I found the bed and mattress to be much too soft, which affected my sleeping comfort. Here I would have expected a firmer mattress as standard to ensure a better quality of sleep.A major drawback was the inadequate soundproofing of the rooms. It was extremely disturbing that I could hear the neighbor showering as loudly as if he were in my own bathroom. With a room price of over €100 per night, this is a clear no-go. If the soundproofing in all rooms were so bad, this would unfortunately be a knock-out criterion for me for future stays.Overall, the hotel offers many positive aspects, especially with regard to the friendly staff and the extensive leisure activities on site. However, there are also some areas in which there is urgent need for improvement.

It is very rural. When we arrived we first had to look where we had to go. It was a bit confusing because we weren't quite sure what belonged where. The facility is very large. There is a small playground, a swimming lake, a paddock, a tennis court, a spa area with pool, sauna and relaxation area. There should also be a fitness room, but we didn't visit it. It was clean and well maintained. Not everyone in the spa area had showers, but that didn't bother us as there was a functioning shower right next to the sauna.Coming to the rooms, it was clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable. We were able to get an extra pillow. The room had a small balcony with chairs and a small table. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was good. There was something for every taste. We asked for Gouda for our toddler and were given cheese as well. The dinner was also very tasty. Unfortunately only from 6 p.m., which was a bit late for our child. The service employees were all very nice and child-friendly.We would love to come back. It was two very nice days in which we were able to relax as a family.A little tip, it's full of mosquitoes because of the forest and water. So pack anti-mosquito spray.

We were recently invited to a family celebration at the Borstel Treff. The location and the hotel complex with sunbathing areas, a swimming pond, sports field and animals were very attractive and well maintained. We sat in a separate room, which apparently made it difficult for the service to serve us, as the service was limited to the bare essentials. The young service employee neither knew which drinks were offered nor who would receive which drinks after a short time. After we ate, which unfortunately wasn't essential for a 4 star hotel, the company moved outside to the terrace because the temperatures were right. There we were completely ignored and only after repeated requests did we receive a little attention from the service employee and we were mercifully allowed to order something else. The hostess told us that the VA was scheduled to last until 5 p.m. and that we would then let it end slowly. This was apparently not communicated to the employees, as the hostess was asked several times when we were finally leaving because they wanted to prepare for the evening business. This is neither hospitable nor economically useful for the Borstel Treff. Unfortunately we will not recommend it.

My wife and I spontaneously came here with our almost 3 year old.Our room was very nice, clean and up to date. The only drawback would be a second shower partition, then you wouldn't flood the bathroom😅. But that would be complaining on a high level. It is a very beautiful and large complex that is in a very quiet location. The pool is a good size and pleasantly heated. Unfortunately we didn't get to take a sauna, but it looked very well looked after. You can go hiking or take advantage of one of the offers. The breakfast is sufficient. In the 3 days we were able to relax a lot despite having children. We will definitely come back 👍👍

We spontaneously felt like going out to eat when we were on the way home. Our sat nav suggested this restaurant to us. The two service employees were minimally stressed and unfortunately you could tell that the young lady didn't feel like entertaining guests at all... All in all it was ok, but we personally didn't find it really inviting. The food was also ok, but not so much that you have to say: "We'll be back!", What a shame. The price was quite high for that, but well, it was an experience.😊

I can only judge the restaurant and the staff. Small restaurant with very friendly staff and food at reasonable prices. Small offer card that is completely sufficient. You can sit inside (restaurant, winter garden) as well as outside.
