Cleanliness, staff, breakfast positive. I must have been unlucky with room number 18. Non-smoking room, yes, but there is a smoking area right next to the window facing the courtyard = window closed. In addition, the radiator was missing, which was already cool in October.I don't know what it was like in other rooms, there must be hyperactive children in the building. Hearing constant trampling into the night and early in the morning it started again.

Cheap hotel in the center of Herne.Parking spaces are located on the Bft gas station premises around the corner and are signposted with the name of the hotel.The rooms are simple but okay.The price-performance ratio is right.

Slept there one night because of the Rammstein concert in Gelsenkirchen. What can I say, service outstanding, rooms clean, beds great price performance mega 👌👌👌👌 I can recommend it 100 percent.. and the awesome beer for free

Centrally located hotel, very good price/performance ratio, quiet and clean, WiFi, dog-friendly, very nice staff, good and extensive breakfast (serving trolley), refrigerator in the lounge, beer etc. free of charge, breakfast bag for travel provisions, roof terrace for smokers, have We felt very comfortable, always happy, Carmen and Stefan

The hotel doesn't offer any luxury, is a bit old-fashioned, but clean, with very nice staff and absolutely okay for the price. Anyone who complains here can spend €20 more per night and stay somewhere else. It's shameful how few people here take photos of "defects". I don't want to see their home.We liked it and particularly worth mentioning: free beer (Paderborner)...Thank you very much at this point.Thiele

Room was quite dated, but the bathroom seemed renovated 👍🏻The room smelled a bit musty and the bed linen smelled very strongly of fabric softener, but it was ok for one night on a business trip.The welcome was very warm and therefore improved the overall impression 🤷🏻♀️Large parking lot a few streets away, where you could also park with the Easypark app, for example.Window well insulated, you could hear little street noise (despite looking at an intersection, see photo), but in the summer with the window open it would have been loud.

The hotel owner and the breakfast staff are very nice! The breakfast is normal but plentiful. Everything is already ready on the breakfast table, such as butter, jam, margarine, plum jam, Nutella and honey. Everything in small packaging. Not atypical for hotels. In addition, every morning there is juice, coffee, boiled egg, yogurt, cheese, sausage and apple. Bread rolls are delivered fresh from the bakery. I think that other breakfast wishes will definitely be fulfilled. The rooms are very simply furnished! You can see that everything is getting old. If you don't make any demands, it's enough to stay overnight. Unfortunately the room and the bathroom smelled very much like a drain and an old drain pipe. A general pipe cleaning would definitely be helpful. So I had to sleep with the window open, but in the dead of night it wasn't loud. The hotel has many regular guests, most of whom are fitters or railway workers and are by no means loud. Overall, a cheap hotel that is very centrally located to the city center and the train station.

Update: after receiving a complaint from the owner via Google. Apparently I was never a guest in this “house”. I have to disagree with that. There were even several weeks due to assembly work in the area. But apparently the owner doesn't like my review. Unfortunately I no longer have any photos. If Google thinks it should delete the review, then so be it. But the main thing is that there is free beer!!!!! My assessment is based on the events that occurred at the time. I can't judge what it is like now, but my original opinion still stands. !!!Original review: I don't know where the 5 star reviews come from, maybe fake?I stay in a lot of hotels and am far from demanding. But this is more like a flophouse. Carpet everywhere that dates back to the early days. It smells very strongly of old cigarette smoke and somehow of urine. The rooms at night are not really clean either and have the same carpet. The bathroom in particular was only roughly cleaned. After several days there were still the same stains on the tiles and floor. So hygiene is zero. Breakfast is also at the bottom. Not appealing.The hotel is very noisy at night. There is always some background noise and exhaust motors running or something similar.As I said. I don't have high standards, I sleep in a lot of hotels, but this is by far the worst this year.I can only explain the good reviews because there is free beer there every evening. It's the cheapest kind, but no one seems to care.In any case, I will never stay here again.
