The Old Mill is still a real family business. Personal approach and excellent service are only topped by the performance of the kitchen. The Knorrs have created a real highlight on the “edge of civilization”.

Nice hotel in a quiet location, yet close to the motorway. Coburg and the surrounding area are easily accessible. The breakfast is rich. Restaurant inside and outside (garden). The staff and hotelier family are very friendly and helpful.

We chose this beautiful hotel for a family reunion. The location is nice and quiet, you can only hear the gentle rushing of the stream. The rooms are very clean and practically furnished.The breakfast is a feast for the eyes, delicious, varied and leaves nothing to be desired. Dinner was a pleasure. All the service staff were very friendly and accommodating, concerned about our well-being, and even special requests were taken into account.The hotel is a good starting point for bicycle tours and hikes.

We stayed at the "Alte Mühle" for 6 nights and actually went home as friends. Everything you need in an accommodation is available in the roomOptions for staying (outside and inside) invite you to linger and switch off.Plenty of free parking, the sound of a stream in the eveningDrink, are things you won't find often. So we probably have some of the bestHave been able to enjoy Aperol Spritz so far. Breakfast from the buffet is always plentiful, varied and very good! Like the kitchen in general.But what can top it all again - the warmth and friendliness of Mrs. Knorr and her busy mill spirits!A great team - with passion and fun in their job and at the "Alte Mühle".....We wish you many more great guests and can only recommend checking in there.Dietrich family

My review only refers to the restaurant:Yesterday I had dinner with my family in the Alte Mühle restaurant and we were more than satisfied. From the greeting from the kitchen, the aperitifs, our delicious main courses to the espresso with a small, sweet farewell greeting from the kitchen, it was a fantastic evening that was rounded off by the great location and, above all, the very warm and hospitable staff.I would also like to point out that there was probably a bottleneck in service so that even the chef helped out and the whole situation was solved in a very charming and low-stress way.We had a wonderful evening and look forward to seeing you again soon!LG the Müller's

One of the best restaurants I've been to so far. We were there as a large group and were served very attentively. The response was very quick when drinks were empty. And the food was of excellent quality. Delicious. We sat outside, which worked very well thanks to the huge umbrellas. Everything fine!

It was one of our most pleasant stays in a hotel to date. We had 5 nights.The room was cleaned very well every day by double room service staff. The friendliness and competence of all employees as well as the short, friendly conversations (including useful tips for exploring the region) made our short vacation perfect. We opted for half board and were served an excellent 3-course menu with great creations every day, including greetings from the kitchen. You were even addressed by name at breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was very high quality and plentiful. I also couldn't resist the freshly brewed Munich white sausage - which tasted great. I actually don't eat sausage for breakfast. There are also plenty of free parking spaces available. The cycle path leads past the hotel.The hotel is absolutely recommended!

I've been to the "Alte Mühle" several times and will stay there more often. At the entrance there is a motto of the mill: "You come as a guest ... and leave as a friend"; That was always true for me; I have rarely had such a warm team in a hotel, the team manages to make every guest feel like their favorite guest; courteous without being intrusive, making everything possible that is possible; I never noticed that the friendliness was artificial, they really are so nice, all day long, I never saw any of the staff there who was annoyed or just tired, even when the restaurant was very busy; The rooms: very clean, with everything you need, not overly large, but completely sufficient;The restaurant: a very fine, upscale cuisine, always freshly prepared dishes, extremely tasty, just great, price-performance: very good;Sufficient parking spaces, located on a mill stream that gently rushes along all day long, with a cozy background noise;Conclusion: The "Alte Mühle" is more than worth a recommendation. In order to really relax - even if just for a few days - this hotel/restaurant is a MUST for me

What a lovely place. I came for a seminar but the team at the hotel were just exceptional. A special thank you to Lisa who just went out of her way to ensure my comfort. She also made sure my pick up by taxi at 5 am happened with my lunchbox.Firstly I have to thank Lisa and then the team at Alte Muehle.Thank you

Great little hotel with nice staff. The rooms are clean and of sufficient size.The breakfast buffet was one-sided, unfortunately exactly the same every day.Dinner in the restaurant was good, but you have to know that you have to dig deep into your pockets (good quality)Unfortunately, the children's meals were not successful.

Very nice family-run hotel. We were guests in the "Alte Mühle" with 20 people (men between 50 and 60 years old) for an average of 4 nights and everyone really enjoyed it. The rooms and the hotel are very nicely decorated. Very clean and tidy hotel, they take care of you. The breakfast is very varied, everything is freshly prepared. The same applies to the menu in the evening. The Knorr family and all the employees are very friendly, there was really nothing to complain about. We had an absolutely wonderful time at the hotel and would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone responsible. We can only recommend the “Alte Mühle” and would be happy to be a “guest” there again at any time.
