The single room I rented was very clean and had everything necessary. The bed was particularly comfortable; both in width and convenience.I didn't like the breakfast. There was a selection of sausage, jam and cheese, cereal and yoghurt. Without question, enough. But everything was served at the table and came from tiny packaging. Garbage without end. And what happens to the leftovers from the table......???Therefore only 3 stars.

I spent a very nice weekend in this house in a comfortable single room with a balcony. Super wide bed would have been enough for two people. The room was quite modern and very clean. Great and extensive breakfast and could be reordered if necessary. Very nice and friendly staff. I will always be happy to come back here!

Pension Gockel is a fantastic holiday destination that I can only warmly recommend! The rooms are comfortably furnished and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfast is simply delicious and offers a wide selection of regional specialties. The host is extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great tips for excursions in the area. The garden invites you to relax and offers a beautiful view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back!

We were only there for one night but we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the building next door and had a very nice room with a large bathroom. Mattress very good, is very important for me as a “back sufferer”. Breakfast was also very nicely prepared. Parking space in front of the house. You can walk to the Werner Wicker Clinic, it's just a short walk. We'd love to come back!

We stayed at Pension Gockel from Saturday to Monday and booked 2 single rooms. We were there at 11:30 a.m., received a friendly welcome and were able to move into the rooms immediately. The rating only refers to my single room, which according to the statement was a renovated room. The room was very small, but made a good impression at first glance. Renovated bathroom with small shower and toilet - everything was okay here. What looked homey but made no sense at all was the shag carpet in the room. The wallpaper was partly carelessly installed - especially in the heating area - and partly had indefinable stains. And this is where things got disgusting. The corners under the window sill were damp, the plaster was peeling, the paint was blooming. I can't say whether it was moldy or not. Things got really uncomfortable in bed. The headboard and border were covered with fabric, which once proved fatal for one of my previous tenants. At some point someone vomited in bed and remnants of it could be found on the wallpaper, the door frame and both the headboard and the border. I complained about this and they wanted to let the cleaner know. When we came back from our hike the next day, only the bedding had been folded and the rest of the room hadn't been cleaned. When we were asked when we left today whether everything was okay, I expressed the problem again. Apparently the cleaning staff are in the room for an hour (never in their life...) and the owners can't take care of everything because sometimes they don't know where their heads are (yes, that's how it is in life...). And no one has ever vomited there (no idea where this statement comes from). I asked the lady to come to the room to show her - she didn't want to see it. When we paid, it turned out that we hadn't been given any spa cards - we didn't need them, but we actually get them when we arrive, don't we? When we were already outside after handing over the keys, I remembered that I had forgotten something in the room. I was then escorted to the room and told to show the lady what I had seen.In the room there was a sufficiently large wardrobe, desk with chair, television on a swiveling arm and shutters. There was a roller blind on the window in the bathroom.A positive thing to mention is the breakfast, which you can book for €9.50 per person. The breakfast room is pleasantly furnished and breakfast is brought to the table. The staff was friendly.Nevertheless, I can't recommend the guesthouse. We don't come here anymore.
