The POHA House has a well-designed, neoliberal facade that hides little substance behind it. A "home away from home" is promised, but in essence it is a loveless accommodation, the service of which is apparently "managed" by a call center in another city - which could not solve my concerns and, for the most part, could not communicate in German . In the small rooms you sleep almost right next to the very loud refrigerator and otherwise the small rooms are far too crowded and the kitchen is not suitable for a longer stay. I would definitely recommend one of the larger rooms. Another negative point is the location. The POHA House can't do anything about that, but it should be mentioned. The sound collects in the small alleys on both sides and builds up to a considerable volume. Since it feels like loud, drunk people walk past every 20 minutes, I rarely got a good night's sleep here. In this area you also come into very active contact with the local drug scene. I was billeted there by an employer and was happy when I was able to leave the POHA House again.

The room size was decent, and it had a kitchen and a microwave. The location was good, and it was also very clean. The only disappointing aspect was the pillow. I've stayed in many hotels across Europe, and this was the most uncomfortable pillow I've ever had. It was unusable, and I ended up using my own clothes as a pillow for several nights.

Central location, clean, fast and friendly communication, but:There were two of us in a double room and when we asked for a second bedside lamp we were told that according to POHA's policy there is only one bedside lamp per room...???The person who wanted to read longer had to get up again to turn off the ceiling light, the other had to fall asleep with the “floodlight”.

The room was clean, tidy, as it appears in the photos, the location was good in the city center, close to restaurants, malls, supermarkets, etc. But the service was terrible, we arrived and our room was occupied, no one gave us information, It took them more than an hour to put us in another room, 2 days in a row in the morning an alarm sounded throughout the hotel for more than 10 minutes which was very disturbing.

The apartment is newly renovated, looks clean and quiet. I can only recommend it! I was in Aachen for work and needed peace and relaxation. This is what I was offered there. It's very centrally located!

Stayed here during a business trip in Aachen. First impression was that the room was really clean and it smelled very nice.I was only saying for four days so I booked a smaller room. It still had (what I assume) was a queen sized bed.It looked like a typical hotel room but with a larger kitchen.I'm not a fan of using kitchen appliances in common spaces as I don't trust people doing the dishes to my standards, but everything in my room was spotless, which came as a very pleasant surprise.Bathroom was nice, nothing special, but they had left some cute soaps and body lotions.When I "made" the bed before checking out I realized that the bed had a secret compartment if you lift the mattress - as in extra storage space. I found some more soap and lotion and stole one of the soap bars. I liked it.Two things that I didn't like was that the desk had loosened from the wall so it was a bit unsteady. I made the staff aware about that.I also didn't like that the fire alarm was JUST above the stove top. I was terrified of setting off the alarm so I ended up barely cooking anything. Aachen had some very nice restaurants though, so it wasn't really a big deal in the end.Overall, quick check-in and out. Basically, no issues.

The location is great, rooms are okay, the service is terrible. (There were problems with the locking system, we stood in front of the locked door in the middle of the night and no one answered any phone number, not even the “emergency service”. There was no call back the next day either.)

My boyfriend and me stayed there for 3 nights and it was very comfortable. |We had a kitchen with everything we needed, the location was super good (very close to the cathedral and a lot of restaurants and shops close by) and very clean upon arrival. |We really enjoyed our time there.

It was a busniess trip for a week, it was amazing. It is self check in and it was smooth because i returned after work at 22:00 and they had a full functional and equipped kitchen so I could buy groceries and make my own food. ||The bed was super comfortable and the wifi was also really good.
