Clean, a bit old, with typical Black Forest style, great outdoor area with, among other things, a beach volleyball field, chess, slide and seesaw, even in bad weather there are opportunities to spend time in the houseSales, breakfast fresh and healthy and a great, dedicated team. Small drawback that you can live with: not all rooms have sinks, there are no women's first-aid rooms on floor three, few sockets (but! Multiple sockets can be borrowed) - we were satisfied :-)

Very nice youth hostel, unfortunately a suit because of the bus connection. Many like to come late or not at all, which is very annoying when you have something planned. Unfortunately there is only one socket in the rooms, but this can easily be bridged using the youth hostel's multiple sockets. But we really enjoy coming back here. Food was very tasty and fresh.

Unfortunately we were only there for two nights, but we felt very comfortable during those two nights. Delicious food (the salad bar and the breakfast buffet were amazing!), the team is very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect, everything is easily accessible by public transport. We love the table tennis room, the volleyball court, the chess board and the many games they have there. We'd love to come back!

We (2 adults) were there with the kids (16; 10) for 4 days. We really enjoyed it, the hostel parents are very friendly and helpful.The rooms have bunk beds, table with chairs and cupboards.We really liked the old flair of the house. There are many play options for the children.Everything was easily accessible for us and there are many excursion options in the immediate vicinity.

Cozy youth hostel about 25 minutes walk from the center. Unfortunately, Titisee is becoming less and less attractive; Even the swimming pool hardly exists anymore.

My daughter was horrified. No access to drinks after meal times. Apparently a bottle of water costs €2 at the machine. My daughter says food was not appropriate.Otherwise the usual charm of the 70s. Saving on our children who are supposedly our future.

I was there with my university group about 5 weeks ago. Actually everything was fine so far, but both me and a fellow student got a strange rash that had to be treated with antibiotics (about a week later). Turns out I brought bed bugs home from there and it wasn't a rash but bites. And now, as a student in the exam phase with not that much money, I have to take care of pest control. So thank you for that. I would be careful with this DJH.

I politely asked for help in an emergency situation (I had an upset stomach, severe cramps and asked for a toilet, I would have paid for it) and the receptionist simply turned me away. I had real problems after that. The fact that you treat your fellow human beings like this is simply an indictment. If there were zero points, I would give zero points. The employee belongs in a job where he has nothing to do with people. Not a good figurehead for a youth hostel.

Last week we were in the youth hostel with a 6th grade class. The location is great. The bus stops right on the street and the lake can be reached on foot. The youth hostel has a beautiful outdoor area and even offers campfires. Each class also has its own common room. Unfortunately, not everyone is equipped equally. We had a refrigerator and a television, unfortunately the other class didn't. The rooms were clean. There were no sinks in the students' rooms, but there were in the teachers' rooms. There are only two shared bathrooms and toilets in total, so you have to share them with other classes. The food was very tasty and the students also enjoyed it. We had a time window of 45 minutes, which was a bit stressful with 60 people, but it still worked. We can recommend the youth hostel and would come again.

We were here with two school classes and were very satisfied! The operators and all employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, we were particularly impressed by the salad bar for dinner and the large selection at breakfast.The hostel has a lot to offer for school classes - both inside and outside (volleyball court, giant chess, table tennis, table football, etc.). The adventure program, which could be booked directly, was also great.The location is nice in the countryside with a short walk to Titisee. Freiburg can be easily reached in 1 hour by public transport (even free thanks to the included Konus card).The rooms could certainly use some modernization, but were adequately equipped for a youth hostel.Overall, we would come back with school classes at any time and can therefore recommend the house!

I didn't like it, I went with the college IMPOSSIBLE to have a network to contact these parents, plus there is only one socket in each room but oh well. There are also a lot of positives like a warm place or other

The youth hostel is in extreme need of renovation.The manager of the youth hostel can't deal with people at all, you are given food and watched while you eat...that was very unpleasant.Why is there no water and tea dispenser outside of meal times...for the price you pay, nothing is justified. Even if it is a youth hostel. We have visited a youth hostel several times as a family, but nothing like this has ever happened to us... it's a shame, we liked the area there, but we definitely won't come back again.

On May 26th there was a grilled sausage (extra with a sign saying you should only take one... my goodness, how much does a second sausage cost when purchasing for a bulk buyer), plus three unappetizing bowls in which there were probably leftover pasta from the day before were sloshing in a white, thin mayonnaise sauce and other salads that looked and tasted little fresh but rather from a can. Plus, somewhere hidden in the corner is a pot full of applesauce and thin ketchup.If someone has been hiking outside all day or doing something else in nature, it is an absolute disgrace, especially for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who just want to eat really well in the evening. Do you really have to be stingy for a second grilled sausage? Doesn't a grilled sausage also come with a bun?That's why I wrote in so much detail, actually every evening the dinner was an absolute weak point, you could prepare the whole thing a little more lovingly and beautifully and deliver some quality given the prices in the 19th century, which are really not cheap anymore. I saw it in a group who were also there for dinner but who we then met afterwards at the Lebanese fast food restaurant in Titisee at the train station and who all had extra food there. That's probably not the point.

We spent three nights in the youth hostel with our family and felt very comfortable. The rooms are not huge but completely fine and above all clean. The washrooms in the hallway are spacious and always clean. It didn't bother us that we didn't have a bathroom in the room. That's how youth hostels have to be!!!The dining room was cozy and the staff here was extremely friendly and accommodating.Breakfast and dinner were delicious and they are always refilled when something is empty.The location is great, the ski bus stop is right in front of the door.We would like to come again!!

I was with my mothermy youngest child here and usOf course there are compromises that you have to make in a youth hostel, but this wasn't a problem for us.We were warmly welcomed and there was always a smile on our faces. We felt comfortable straight away.Our room was a 6-bed room and there was enough space for 3 people.The beds and the room were clean and the mattresses were comfortable, despite my back problems I slept really well. Nothing squeaked or creaked in our room.Of course the furniture is a bit shabby, but that is due to the way the guests interact and not the youth hostel.However, the doors could use rubber bands in the door frames, as it gets loud if you close the door too hard.The sanitary facilities are not modern and the showers are a bit cramped, but when we were there everything was clean and toilet paper and soap were always replenished.The breakfast buffet was simple, but more than sufficient for our needs.We didn't see any moldy food.As soon as something was empty, it was immediately refilled.The outdoor area is spacious and the place is easily accessible on foot with children if you are not a lazy person.And if necessary, there are bus stops at the hostel from where you can get where you want to go.We will come back in any case.
