Went to the class reunion at the Scheffelhof yesterday. Unfortunately, the staff was overwhelmed when it came to billing. The bill wasn't checked straight away and the meal was billed as a men's dream instead of medals. I can only recommend checking the food that has been billed for immediately. 10€ difference.

The Scheffelhof gets a clear recommendation!!! The rooms are sufficiently large, renovated and clean. A coffee machine is available in the hallway for all guests as there is no breakfast here. However, the nearest bakery is right in the neighborhood. You can eat excellently in the restaurant and bar. The portions are large. The service is really nice, open-minded and quick. The location of the inn is perfect. You can reach the monastery in five minutes on foot. Free parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. We would love to come back. Thank you!!

Aug 24:Again, quite spontaneously but with a prior call. Seven. The ambience remains simply wonderful. Staff very attentive and friendly. A nice inn with a restaurant. Food not cheap but very good. Rooms clean and modern, nothing was missing.Due to the location on the main street, the windows could not be opened, which was quite annoying in midsummer. In principle, however, a good and convenient location.

Overall a good hotel in a good location.But: A room that was initially booked as a single room was changed to a double room at short notice due to the two of us arriving, and an additional cost of €21 was found to be OK. However, the promise to provide additional towels and bed linen was not kept. The initially promised reimbursement of the additional effort has not been received even after 4 weeks, what a shame!

When visiting Maulbronn Monastery, we recommend making a reservation at the “Zum Scheffelhof” restaurant. The restaurant is very easy to reach as it is in the immediate vicinity of the famous Maulbronn Monastery. The atmosphere is modern and very cozy. Especially in the warm season, there are seats in the back area, which is more reminiscent of an idyllic Italian alley. The staff is very committed and friendly. The dishes on offer are particularly noteworthy. The restaurant also offers seasonal highlights that are very appealing. The price-performance ratio is okay, especially since the quality of the food is particularly high. A white wine was recommended to us today, which went perfectly with the food and rounded off the visit perfectly. The restaurant deserves the rating “highly recommended”.

Sympathetic, very tasty and individual restoration. Made the most of the location thanks to the friendly group that runs the store. We were blown away by the service and the very fine food!
