We had a really nice holiday in this youth hostel with a school child and a small child. The room was very nice, the bathroom spacious, modern and very well equipped. A great walk-in shower, great diaper pail and toilet with soft close.We had full board and it was very tasty, especially the salad bar was great and lots of nice extras for the children, melon, daily changing desserts, one evening even ice cream with sprinkles, whipped cream, etc.The staff was very friendly.Thank you! We liked it very much.

Five of us arrived and were well received. The staff is very nice and always friendly. The food was very sufficient. The dinner was very varied. And there was a nice selection of fruit every day. Sufficient drinking was also provided. So we were completely satisfied with the youth hostel.

The youth hostel in Torgau is a very nice, modern youth hostel. It is right in the center. You just walk a few meters to the market square and the castle is right next door. The food is very tasty and there is a lot to choose from. The staff is also very friendly. I can highly recommend the youth hostel.

Completely unsuitable for families. When we booked over the phone we weren't made aware of the membership. Only when checking in was it said that you had to purchase it for a fee. Without this you cannot use a room. We were not provided with a family room as shown in the photos. We came with five people (3 children 0,3,10). Our beds were double bunk beds, which were distributed throughout the room. The photo on the website showed beds put togetherUnfortunately, as a family of 5, we weren't allowed to get to know them. The descriptions on the website (outdoor play options) do not match the local conditions. Despite knowing our children, we were not provided with a playroom. For the price we had to pay, our expectations were disappointed. I can only say negative things about the cleanliness of the room. There were bugs like spiders, flies, moths and beetles everywhere. Insects were mainly in the bathroom. There is space to shower in the shower cubicle. Unfortunately, our room was not safe for children. When I closed the shower doors, one of the doors slipped off the rails. The water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired.Now to the positive:The house technician was very nice and helpful. Cleaning materials such as brooms, sweeping shovels and new garbage bags were provided to us. The catering staff was also very nice and accommodating. We were visited at the table and asked how satisfied we were with the food and whether we had a request that could be made available to us, despite the self-service.Unfortunately I can't say anything more positive.

Rooms clean, modern, spacious. Food perfect. Free Wi-Fi, but reception varies depending on the room (-> room 209 hardly any reception). Friendly staff, reasonable meal and rest times. Top location at the castle + Elbe.

I had a great stay in the youth hostel with family and friends to say goodbye before a longer stay abroad. It was my personal first youth hostel outside of school hours, which was a while ago - I'm a new youth hostel fan. A great meeting point to treat yourself to a short trip with friends and family. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great. The accommodation was very clean and very well equipped. The location was great right next to the old town. Many activities are possible within walking distance. I would recommend the Torgau Youth Hostel at any time! Details in the individual reviews.

We visited on New Year's Eve 2023. We really liked it, the staff was very friendly, everything was very clean and comfortably furnished and the food was varied and sometimes even vegetarian/vegan (without prior ordering). The furnishings are as good as new, we enjoyed using the family room and reading corner, as did the table tennis table. Recommended in Torgau: Hartenfels Castle (right next door) had two very nice exhibitions suitable for children, the playgrounds and the skate park, I have never seen such beautiful playgrounds. Otherwise, the adventure pool and the beaver house would have been our alternatives.

We were there with the choir for the rehearsal weekend. Food tasted good, good rehearsal room. And we were able to look at the castle, directly opposite, during the break.
