This is my third experience in this hotel...When you repeat the experience it means that the hotel is good, and in my experience it seems that this is the last,Everything is good in the check-in and stay procedures, the breakfast is very good, the service staff in the restaurant and the rooms are also good,But when checking out I asked the man in charge at the reception if I am allowed to extend the check-out instead of 11 am to be at 13:00 pm,The receptionist informed me that a fee of 50 euros will be charged for the extension,I asked him again if I am allowed to extend for one hour until 12:00 pm, he repeated the same answer by paying 50 euros as an extension fee,This policy and procedures left an uncomfortable effect and did not take into account any extension request, and the way the employee responded seemed to suggest leaving the hotel immediately "The time for the extension request was 10:45 am,knowing that most hotels allow an extension within an hour or two without additional fees.

Just wanted to share some thoughts about our recent stay as well as I don’t agree with your answer from our first review comment….We had some issues with the internet at first. It kept cutting on and off even it showed up for few seconds…the room change suggested from the receptionist offered fixed everything since the router was properly connected in the new room!We didn’t know you could provide fans, which would have been great to know.!The place is really unique and seems perfect for winter, but I'd avoid it in the summer because it got pretty hot inside. The only ventilation we had was a hatch above the entrance and a side door at the other end, which didn’t help much.You can only use the kitchen if you eat cold food nothing to heat upWe felt a bit misunderstood from receptionist due to the explanation that the internet was not working properly and had the feeling it’s a hassle to get an IT support….no clue why?On the plus side, the location is fantastic—super central.The view from the room is stunning just don’t open the door on the side…it’s very noisy and a lot of traffic passing by

Rooms are nice although Internet didn’t work on day one. Had to change rooms. The biggest issue is that during warmer weather the room with its large panoramic windows is a like a green house. Unbearably hot, no windows that open and no AC. There is a ski hatch that opens towards the road and provided some relieve but then it becomes unbearably noisy at night. Fan was offered on check out (we apparently didn’t ask for something we didn’t know about).

Beautifully hotel. Featuring interesting art and very well designed furnishings. Overall vibe is very nice, also due to the friendly staff. Location is superb and from the alte villa you have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Downsides are the busy street out front which is a lot of noise at night if you have the windows open, which in summer is a must because there is no AC so it gets very hot indeed. Also the kitchen could have used some more pans and such so you can actually cook a full meal.

Stayed there with our two children. The architecture is superb. Location is crazy. People working here are nice. Combination of these elements made our 3 day stay at Garmisch a lovely memory... What else do you want from a hotel. Thanks...

We had a great time in the neighborhood in Garmisch. A week of autumn vacation and totally relaxed, we felt very comfortable. Consistently friendly and courteous service staff. Garmisch city center can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. Hiking tours directly from the hotel, no problem. Perfect weather, as ordered....Thank you again!

It was really enjoyable spending time in the lodge.The staff (Kai) is very nice and helpful, and him informing us that the street parking is free was really appreciated.The location is perfect - close walk to the center, to Lidl and to the cogwheel train station that takes you to Zugspitze.I would definitely stay here again if I were to come back to GaPa.

We had a really great time in the neighborhood in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The concept, a mixture of high-quality design and sustainability, convinced us and brought us joy. Particularly noteworthy, in addition to the architecture and interior design, is the particularly polite and courteous service and also the delicious breakfast. The view of the beautiful mountains completes the holiday experience. We would definitely come back. PS: we also found the hotel to be very child-friendly - our son is eight months old. There was both a baby bed in the room and a baby high chair at breakfast.

I can only agree with Christine's assessment here, unfortunately sleeping at night with the window open is almost impossible. The noise from the street is enormous, even when there is a lot of traffic at night. And with the minimalist furnishings even without air conditioning, it is certainly unbearable for some people at night. Unfortunately the bed was also very uncomfortable and we slept extremely poorly the first night. Otherwise, as you can see from the pictures in advance, everything was very sparsely equipped, but the fact that at a price of €600 for 2 nights you don't even have a selection of tea or coffee in the room is a shame.Since I asked about the Tesla charging station in front of the house before I arrived, whether it could be used and how to pay, the only answer I got was that it was chargeable, and when I asked how much it cost there was no answer. To make matters worse, we found out on site that, according to the “owner”, this charging station has sometimes not been working for a long time... this could be communicated in advance so that you don't have to worry about charging on vacation... In itself, a nice accommodation with certain disadvantages should be taken into account. We found the breakfast at €18 per person very expensive for what was on offer.

The apartment with a mountain view in which we stayed for 4 nights was unfortunately disappointing in many respects:- The kitchen no longer has a stove (contrary to the pictures when booking). That's why you can't even boil pasta or prepare scrambled eggs (see photo).- The location is not ideal as the property is located directly on a large road. Sleeping with the “window” open is impossible. Ventilation is only possible through the entrance door and a clothing chute (see photo).- Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable and we struggled with back pain every night. The mattress consists of two 10cm high mattresses placed on top of each other (see photo).- The bathroom is open to the living area and has no door (see photo).- 20€ parking in the underground car park per day with a room price of over 200€ per night makes no sense. You can easily park your car in front of the hotel free of charge. The parking lot directly in front of the building has an electric charging station, which also costs €20 extra.Positive were:- The walking distance to the center.- The unusual design, although simpler than it seems in the pictures (rather better youth hostel).- The beautiful view of the mountains.- Daily room service.- Very clean.We can't rate the breakfast because we booked without it.Conclusion: Unfortunately we wouldn't come back because the hotel urgently needs to invest in high-quality mattresses. All in all, the price-performance ratio is not right here!

Location really great! Room with a new and modern wooden design is a real eye-catcher! Breakfast was also super tasty and balanced. Staff very friendly. Price is a bit higher, but it's worth it!

In my opinion, price/performance is not appropriate. I can only agree with the reviews from Dirk n and Sabine. The charm is more like a youth hostel. Only the architect will understand why the bathroom doesn't have a door. In my opinion the bed was very comfortable.
