We were there to eat and had ordered a table for 2 people, we were assigned a table in the room, there were 3 tables set for 2 people, instead of telling the guest to choose one, you had to take it, the service wanted, it could be better.The sauerbraten we had ordered could no longer be ordered with red cabbage; we were offered a salad as an alternative, which was very good.The sauerbraten was solid like concrete, no matter how hard it was possible to tear it apart with the meat, the meat wasn't tough but firm, a sign that the cook didn't braise it long enough, that shouldn't happen.

A beautiful Allgäu style restaurant. Friendly staff, fine Allgäu specialties, exactly as you would expect in the Allgäu. A visit is highly recommended, I haven't eaten such delicious Kässpatzen in a long time.

As always, I was super satisfied with the food and the service. We have been going on vacation to the region for years and we always eat there at least once, we have never found anything bad about this restaurant.Service and food are simply top.

Actually, at the worst possible time (Saturday evening 6:30 p.m., moderate weather (so sitting outside was rather suboptimal..) and without a reservation..) I just went there and asked for a free place for dinner and a beer. The restaurant was of course packed, but the service was still super nice, asked for a moment to wait and then there was actually a free table for me. Sure, there was certainly a bit of luck involved (other guests without a table reservation unfortunately had to leave without having achieved anything), but the staff were still very nice and the little wait (less than 5 minutes!) was absolutely worth it in the end. The menu is very appealing, not too much and not too little, plus pleasant regional cuisine and reasonable prices. I had a pork neck steak with ratatouille vegetables and spaetzle for 20 euros, plus a local draft beer - and the whole thing took 30 minutes at most despite the restaurant being full, nicely prepared and served with a smile.Conclusion: Delicious regional cuisine, very nice staff and a rustic atmosphere - but it is definitely advisable to order in advance (especially on weekends, on holidays and if you are traveling with several people)!PS: There's also a nice little beer garden - the weather just has to be right.

We were there several times and each time we had problems choosing a table - tables were supposedly reserved but there was no reservation sign on the table. Conversely, we were transferred to reserved tables - albeit in the blazing sun. It was always dubious and annoying. Maybe locals or hotel guests go first. The waitresses seemed stressed and unfriendly. The location is generally nice, the food is good, if not outstanding - but quite expensive. Käsespätzle were more mud than knöpfle and also very bland. The schnitzel was dripping in fat. We don't go there anymore, even though you can sit outside. The neighborhood also has good food and a friendlier atmosphere.
