Hotel Aan De Singel

Very disappointing unfortunately. Closed af check in time. Very very noisy, so they put me in an annexe at a 5 min walk, to find the keycard not working. No windows, woke up with a terrible headache. Very uncomfortable bed (soft!), no nightstands, no soap, no hairdryer, no way to make coffee or tea, no information on wifi password or breakfast times. Nobody at reception, you need to go and find someone at the restaurant across the street that is also not open at all times. Very bad experience

Hotel entrance and inner hall are very cold and uninvitingly decorated, no nice accessories or plants available.

We had booked for 2 nights and were really looking forward to the short trip, but were very disappointed when we saw our hotel, especially the room. When we arrived in Delfzijl we found our key in the small safe outside next to the door, as we had been told beforehand. Our room was right at the front door number 1.Our first impression of the hotel was like a guard hall where rooms had been made out of it, one room after the other. Looked strange, one door after the other. A little decoration here and there.Now to the room:very clean, very high ceilings, no lamps on the ceiling, too dark in the evening, only light on the bed, at the desk, everything was made very cheaply, bathroom small, no proper shelf, not even under the basin, the basin is made of wood which was really worn out was, the room was carelessly furnished.A small TV on the wall where the curtains hung. The only way to open the windows was to open the hatches. A small cupboard, wooden desk, kettle, no minibar, no hairdryer in the room. The bed had separate mattresses but were comfortable, that was the only thing. But it was clean...so too expensive for the price...it needs to be made a little nicer.Contact person v. From 4:00 p.m. onwards someone comes to the hotel for 2 hours and then the person is gone. The friendly chambermaids in the morning...If you as a guest have a real problem, such as: If you leave your keys or leave them in the room, you're out of luck. There's no one to reach, no staff, not even the number that's on the left outside, there's no answering machine or answering machine. .you then stand there alone...that wasn't good service for us.Unless the Grande Café is next door then you can go there. But if it is closed you have no contact person at all.The maids were also very nice and sweet... I have to mention that here,For breakfast:This was available next door in the Grande Café Restaurant, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. 6:00 - 9:00.The lady who had apparently finished breakfast was very nice.The breakfast was very, very poor, no fruit, no tomatoes or cucumbers, not enough types of rolls or bread, baked rolls from the bag, croissants, toast, one type of cheese, packaged sausage, ham, jam and Nutella in small packaged containers throw away, a bit of fruit salad, orange juice, boiled eggs, milk, cocoa, coffee, there's also cappuccino and latte macchiato from a good compact machine, that was the only good thing, nothing for vegans or vegetarians,The service from the staff next door in the restaurant was TOP, very nice, the food was delicious, especially the tomato soup, and the lady who made breakfast in the morning was also very friendly and kind. There's absolutely nothing you can say...The area wasn't bad. There were a few sights, we were 5 minutes by the sea, 5 minutes in the small city center. On Saturdays everything was open until 8 p.m. the shops, restaurants and restaurants were open longer. 10:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. In the next beautiful town 1/2 hour.We had something to eat at the Grande Café Restaurant on Saturday... very tasty, prices like ours. Top staff. Unfortunately it was closed on Sundays...There's nothing going on there on Sundays, the Grande Café Restaurant is closed, pubs and restaurants open early...We didn't like the hotel, noisy, noisy, and the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all,The hotel costs 220 euros for 2 nights/2 people, including breakfast 15.00 euros per person... the breakfast is not worth it at all for the priceFor 15.00 euros I get much, much more elsewhere.Maybe you should add a little more... also when it comes to the hotel

Top Hotel, but the Parking are is very small.

Pleasant hotel, inexpensive, soft beds, everything was very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant opposite.

Spacious room, clean and space for your bike.Very good breakfast.

The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. Unfortunately it is extremely warm there in summer as there is no air conditioning.
