A hotel without staff. Access via code that came from a cell phone, albeit from a very friendly person. No breakfast, but 100 mtr. The hotel offers the opportunity to have a delicious breakfast.Location very nice. The whole city was within walking distance

Beautiful location, near the Sneekerpoort and on the edge of the center of Sneek. Excellent room with shower and toilet and nice view. Rented a room for my parents who are now over 80 and stated that they would like to book a room on the ground floor or 1st floor. When retrieving the key from the safe (handy), the room turned out to be on the 2nd floor, which is also accessible by a steep staircase where the railing provided insufficient support for my parents due to rheumatism. That was exciting for us as was the lack of an emergency exit. So this was down the same stairs. Hence the 1 star for service. Furthermore, a neat and clean hallway and room, which is definitely recommended for a nice stay in Sneek.

Staff or owner is acting absolutely inappropriate!I had overseen a little sign in the entrance indicating „bicycle not allowed“ and parked my bicycle in the entrance hall after check-in via telefon. 15 min later the women arrived and was absolutely impolite and almost screaming at me and additional arguing with some nationalist geert wilders arguments like arguing a dutch person would act in a better manner - reason enough to not support this business anymore!!

The hostel has a zero tolerance policy, as stated in the "welcome" letter. There is also a not very hospitable atmosphere, with strict regulations...... upon my comment that the bathroom, which has no heating, was ice cold, the owner informed me that this is only the case below 10 degrees. My wife's comment that the air system is very noisy, the answer was that the system was installed according to the rules and this is the case in all hotels. In short, feeling heard and seen as a guest is also zero!

Terrible hotel, they took money for the reservation, in the end this lady did not let her into the hotel, in addition to this, the service is very bad, she yells and does not know how to enter herself correctly, supposedly only those aged 30+ can get in, there is nothing like that on the website that entry is only for 30+ years! 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

Apparently only above 30. I was asked to cancel and would receive my money back immediately. Getting that money back took a week and I still had to do a lot of work to get that money back. I kept receiving wrong information and was treated unfriendly. When I read the other reviews, I am not the only one who has had this happen to them after canceling. My previous review has been deleted, so be careful here.......

We came to visit my brother who is living in Sneek, my parents and I to stay two nights.I do not recommend this hotel for the following:1-The beds did not have sheets.2-When we arrived to leave the suitcases, the owner came to scold us saying that there could only be two in the room, that they had seen us on the cameras. Being very rude and unpleasant. Without attending to explanations. When we just went in to see the room and help my parents with the television.3-They prohibit you from making noise at 10 at night, even the television.4-Unpleasant feeling of surveillance.5-They are classified as a Hotel, but there is no cleaning service to make the beds or clean the room after spending the night.6-At check out they rushed us to leave at 10:00 in the morning.I'm sure there are other options in the city.

I live in Sneek and needed space for guests. Booked a room here for my son and girlfriend, but was called the next day by the owner/manager with the request to cancel the room. I was told that the hotel is not for young people and that everyone must be inside before 10pm at night and not make any noise. Not even a TV on. "And young people (my son and girlfriend are 21 years old) can't do that," said the owner. Apparently this lady tars all 21-year-olds with the same brush. Very special.Not a good word for it!Part 2:After I gave this review, there was a casual response from 'the manager' (whom I did not speak to) that I had reserved the room for my son's birthday party. This again makes no sense at all!!! I am celebrating my birthday at home and have more guests that I can accommodate at home for the night, so I looked for a place in Sneek to accommodate two more people. This is unprecedented. Apparently only room for cycling elderly people who are in bed at 9:30 PM.

Stayed for 3 nights with my sister to visit mothers in Sneek.Everything available, coffee, tea, something tasty, bottles of water, nice seating, good beds.Everything spotlessly clean, view of the Water Tower.No breakfast, but plenty of time for yourself in the morning, which is what we needed, you can have breakfast anywhere in Sneek.Had nice contact with the owner upon departure (I think). Sweet and understanding.I would love to come back here again!!!

Really beautiful old building and the room was really nice, everything new, lovely bed, everything neat, shower, toilet, everything actually. Nice view of the Sneker water gate.. worth repeating.

Great place for an overnight stay. Good room in a renovated house. On the edge of the center. Free parking for the first 24 hours in the nearby parking garage (5 minutes walk). I see it more as B without B (self check-in, no other facilities.

Excellent 'hotel' with a beautiful view of the water gate. Room 2 on the ground floor was neat. TV, good WiFi, separate bathroom with shower. No refrigerator. You can have breakfast (if you want) right next to it at “Royaal Belegd”.
