Very cramped, suffocating (windows don't open and air conditioning doesn't work properly), beds and pillows aren't comfortable. The entrance is actually to the shower room with the toilet, because to close there - you need to close the door of the room, there is not even a curtain. So I absolutely do not recommend this place. Apart from the excellent location, I don't see anything attractive here.

Excellent location, in a few minutes you can reach one of the streets full of shops and restaurants that lead to the centre. The spacious room. Fairly new. The pillows were really uncomfortable, the towels and sheets were not of the highest quality. Reception available for limited hours. Overall a good place to sleep and walk around Amsterdam. A Nespresso coffee machine with capsules is provided, which was much appreciated here. Fridge for drinks. They don't give water or anything in the room. Safe not working.

This hotel is fairly inexpensive and you get what you pay for. It feels like it was designed to look good in photos but a lot of things are cheap/broken (ex: no hanging rods in the closets, cheap shower curtain, safe didn’t work). You have to check in before 8pm and there isn’t a true reception area. The stay here is relatively comfortable. The bed was cozy. The shower was hot with good pressure. The AC/heat worked well. The location is convenient. So it’s not a luxurious stay but it is a comfortable place to sleep

If you love museums and expensive clothing stores, this location is front row and center. The communication is responsive and the room looks nice but on arrival we noticed a film of dust over the closet shelves and the bathroom is not cleaned. After 6 weeks of traveling, this is only the 2nd time we had to sleep on very low quality mattress with simultaneously very thick/ firm pillows, which readily looks great/ save time for bedding set-up, but is not conducive for guests' comfort. 99% of hotels with thick/ firm pillows for bedding also provide a 2nd flatter pillow for actually sleeping on. We both woke up with two neck aches and one back pain, so much so we dreaded sleeping on them a 2nd night, but having already booked for 2 nights, we were eager to move to another hotel for the 3rd and 4th nights in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the bed sheets are also out low quality enough to register it feeling rough on the skin... which is amazing because we've never came across this. The water cups provided for drinking are demi-tasse espresso shots size, so one would have to refill many times to accomplish a task of simply quenching thirsts... an easy thing to repeat not to mention a loss of time, unless you're not using a short-and- narrow-stick sink handle faucet that gets stucked and hard to adjust workout effort everytime you need to refill the tiny drinking cups.... and saving on water at the expense of the guests. The place gives off a feeling of luring in guests with good looking rooms if you like a moody modern design, but sacrificing 8 hours of guests comfort in restful sleep and water consumption to the way side favoring proprietor's cost-efficiency is bad business. Please try not to squeeze money and think of the guests more.

Stayed in the hotel for two nights. Both nights there were constructional works started at 5 a.m. just in front of my room's window. Two sleepless nights, but I came to Amsterdam for business meetings.Unattentive attitude from the hotel side, nobody warned about the made costruction project and loud noise nor offered to change the room to upper floor or other side. The worst part is that they do not answer messages nor say sorry for inconvenience.

Very rude and unaccomodating customer service. We missed our flight to Amsterdam due to flight cancelation (natural disaster). They refused to help us with a date change for the future or provide any sort of credit towards future booking, despite numerous requests. All our tour operators in Netherlands and flight airlines helped us but at AmsterHome no one is willing to accomodate us or meet us midway with a solution. Will be going back to Amsterdam soon but definitely not to them!
