Hotel Misan Norderney

Super great hotel. Rooms are super nice, the view from the balcony is a 10/10. Service very nice and helpful. Breakfast really great. It was a completely successful stay for us!!!

Wonderful tripWe cannot understand the many negative reviews here.The emails and phone calls were responded to immediately. We were given very good advice when choosing a room. Of course the rooms are different, but the differences are also on their website and on the other hotel platforms. We were warmly welcomed and everything was explained.Our room with a sea view was simply fantastic. You could even see the sea from the bed and hear the sound of the sea.The beds had the optimal level of softness, the bathroom and room were very tastefully decorated.Tomorrow's breakfast (until 11:00 a.m.) was very varied and excellent.We would love to come back to the Hotel Misan.

After a very positive experience two years ago, we have now been back to the Hotel Misan.Apparently under new management.Some things have changed for the worse.Here are just a few examples:- We were greeted with an unwrapped (!!) chocolate on a lukewarm plate. (see photo) We had never experienced anything like this before.- the breakfast service only works if a very friendly employee from the kitchen helps, otherwise it isService unfriendly and completely unprofessional. And when the “hotel manager” and a waiter behind the buffet drink water from the bottle, you are surprised, but when the said waiter wipes something on the floor and then wipes the tables with the same cloth, it just stops very disgusting!- the homepage promises: ....”and from lunchtime onwards you can relax at the bar with classic cocktails, high-quality spirits and selected wines.”None of this is true. There is a bar, but no bar service.Everything is locked and there are no staff in the house in the afternoon and evening. There is only one emergency number, which of course doesn't mix you a drink. There shouldn't be anything like that in this price category.- Since there is no bar and no reception with a lounge area that lasts at least 16 hours, the Misan is not a 4* hotel, as the homepage suggests, but at best a bed and breakfast hotel.But the prices are clearly too high for that.All in all a very disappointing stay.None of this existed two years ago, when we felt completely comfortable.Apparently people here are of the opinion that this behavior can be afforded due to the really good location, the fantastic view of the North Sea from some rooms and the very well planned room furnishings.If the owner/operator of the house isn't mistaken.So the Hotel Misan is not recommended.

Nothing is missing here. Warm welcome, nice clean rooms, great breakfast, great location, staff always trying to make you happy. We would love to come back. Thank you very much 🙏

Great place with various sights, both for celebrating and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rich breakfast, the friendly staff and the flexible check-in time made our stay particularly pleasant. The terrace overlooking the beach and the possibility of using your own beach chair created a relaxing atmosphere. The reception and breakfast staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the emergency number in case of any problems was a reassuring addition.In addition, our requests, such as additional pillows or flowers in the room, were fulfilled immediately and to our complete satisfaction. The excellent service and prompt response to our concerns made our stay even more pleasant. We can only warmly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Except for the design of the rooms and the good location, everything was catastrophic. I join my predecessors here. The room we were given hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Towels were missing. Shower gel had already been used. Balcony looks like it will be demolished. Plants dead. Sand in the room. There was even hair from other people on the bed. Bathroom wasn't even cleaned for three days. The staff neither responds to the guests nor addresses the problems.Ordered ice coffee at breakfast, but it wasn't possible because it wasn't on the menu. But there was no map. Putting an ice cube in a latte is asking too much. You wouldn't have any ice cream. But there is a bar. Staff understaffed. It's all about making money to attract guests with previously good photos.My request to the hotel: Please don't respond like previous bad reviews with a sentence like: Thank you blablabla. We will always improve blablabla. Just close your house so more people don't have to make the mistake of booking with you.

Watch out!The rooms in the basement with a terrace are basement rooms with a backyard where the staff is constantly walking around, smoking and talking loudly. Chairs and table dirty and everything unkempt. The room very small.We wanted to change rooms and would have liked to book one with a sea view. We should have paid an additional €100 per night for this. However, the room was now offered on the Internet as a “last minute” offer for €50 cheaper than our basement room. A real impudence.The reception is only staffed until 7 p.m. and after that only telephone contact is possible.Only the old towels were taken away, but no new ones were brought.I absolutely cannot recommend the hotel, even if the furnishings are very nice.
