First of all, I was traveling for work and was looking for shelter for the night. After checking in and moving into my small but clean and cozy room, I decided to walk around the pond.I was able to switch off mentally, but it also made me thirsty for a beer. There were three tables occupied in the restaurant, a lady, a couple and a table for fourPlus two people serving, so it's manageable.Since I didn't want to stand around helplessly in the room, I sat down at a free table. When the waitress appeared, I asked if that was okay. That was probably the case. And so I just ordered oneAyringer Helles. This came relatively quickly and I didn't waste too much time watching the foam disappear. How small half a liter is.🤔Since my throat was now moistened, after a while I decided to order a second beer.Unfortunately, I had to learn that people who just want to quench their thirst are probably not that interesting to the service. She had a lively conversation with the lady about the age of her grandchildren.Ok, conversations are important.More guests appeared in the next room and both wait staff took care of them. They passed me and my now empty glass several times. OK.Then a middle-aged man with dark hair (the boss?) appeared and talked to the table of four. When he saw the empty glass in front of me several times, I thought I saw something like pity in his eyes, because my glass had been empty for a while. But that didn't change the condition of the glass. The nice female waiter ignored my careful raising of the empty glass, as did the smiling waiter. Then I was able to order a second glass from the nice waitressHow quickly time flies.🤷‍♂️In the meantime the empty plates of the newly arrived guests were cleared away and then my second glass was there. Now I began to worry about keeping the opening hours and wanted to pay.The Ayringer Helle was advertised at €4.40 for half a liter. For two I came to €8.80What a liter of beer does to my math skills.🫣I put €10.00 on the table and said 'that's right'.Ok, it's not a big tip, but I was patient. Then I looked at the receipt and it said €9.80 for the two light drinks, which reduced the tip considerably again.I didn't want to ask and went to the room.Sorry, everyone can have a day when things don't go well. This is not a criticism, just a note from someone who is also self-employedIt's a shame, that spoiled the overall impression.Customers who don't eat much are also customers, and the references to the other two restaurants don't help either. It's not a cheap restaurant, I knew that in advance and this place can't and shouldn't be!It will definitely be better on the next visit. 😉

The Deininger Weiher lies framed within the hilly landscape. A hiking trail around the lake in a quiet and relaxing environment. There are also hiking trails that lead into the surrounding area. An inn with a small kiosk invites you to linger and have a good snack.

It tasted excellent. The duck is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just as it should be. With chestnuts in the sauce, it harmonized very well. The red cabbage perfectly seasoned. The Kaiserschmarren was a dream.

We always enjoy going for a walk at the Deininger Weiher and also enjoy stopping at the Waldhaus.Unfortunately, there are no longer any Kaiserschmarren... :( (Unfortunately I don't know whether it's permanent or just today)Nevertheless, we really enjoyed lunch and had a delicious meal! The service staff is always friendly, competent and funny. It is always cozy and wonderful in the Waldhaus Deininger Weiher!Today we had the porcini mushroom tagliatelle and the pork fillet. Both were very tasty, but we would still always stay loyal to the Kaiserschmarren (the BEST!!! in the area)Therefore a big request to the team, if it is at all possible, please bring the Kaiserschmarren back!
