My daughter was at Nature Discovery camp in this hostel in July 2024.Although she had already been to other youth hostels (Windeck) and was very happy there, this time she was unfortunately very disappointed. There was almost no program at all, especially at the beginning and the children were very bored. At the same time there was a soccer camp in this house and my daughter played soccer the whole time. In the end, the supervisors wanted to catch up on the program, but that was too much. The food was bad and the children were hungry all the time and bought expensive sweets from the vending machine.Almost no English was spoken at all.The carers were young people and it felt as if they had been on holiday themselves and barely cared about the children. You were on your cell phone a lot and vaping. My daughter was so excited for it and in the end she was so disappointed! What a shame! Definitely not recommended!

If you are looking for comfortable and luxurious accommodation, this is the wrong place. The youth hostel dates back to 1957. Only individual rooms have their own bathrooms. But: super friendly and helpful staff. Really good food, good meeting service. I'm already looking forward to our second training weekend.

We do a badminton camp there with the club every year. The staff is very accommodating and makes warm cocoa for the children and young people in the evenings.

The youth hostel urgently needs to be renovated. The rooms have seen nothing in the last 30 years apart from a little paint. The smell is musty, there was a wooden board under the 5 cm thick mattress, the cupboards and shelves are a certain tilt and are not trustworthy. This wasn't just in one room but in the 5 rooms we occupied. The showers were a life for crawling small animals and clean is something else. If you are not afraid of these little animals you can also take a shower. The food is just as tasteless as it was 30 years ago. The potatoes had no taste at all, the chicken schnitzels were dry and tasteless. The sauce was tasteless and the dessert hasn't changed in all the years. There is also something positive, the fried fish and the salad with the dressing were really tasty. Breakfast was 50-50 and you had to beg for coffee for the adults. This youth hostel is only recommended for the intrepid.

Salam, after the boys finished playing the soccer tournament in the hallways at 3 a.m., they were very thirsty. Because of this, they auctioned off some of the institution's items on Ebay. We were told that we should fill up like at home, next time the teachers should express themselves better, in the end the kanax open the math book because the teacher says open the book.

Even though it's been 5 years since I was there and something has definitely changed during that time, I can only say that this is a wonderful youth hostel. The food was great and the rooms were clean except for spiders. The only thing that really whets your appetite a bit are the toilets.
