The castle on the Butterberg is wonderfully beautiful.Food excellent, rooms very tidy and everything clean.Really great service!!!Highly recommended for families with children, goats, chickens and a beautiful forest with lights and chimes in the forest.Great experience.The playground is sensational for children...😊😄

The picturesque location on the Butterberg, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, makes you immediately forget everyday life. The ambience of the inn is both charming and authentic, decorated with great attention to detail, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.The cuisine is simply excellent. The menu offers a fantastic selection of regional specialties, prepared fresh and with great care. Particularly worth mentioning is the creativity of the dishes, which combine traditional flavors with modern accents. Every bite was a pleasure and you could tell that there is real passion in the kitchen.The service was exceptional - the staff were always friendly, courteous and pleasantly unobtrusive. You felt perfectly taken care of from start to finish.Overall, our visit to the Butterberg Berggasthof was a completely successful experience. A place we will certainly be happy to return to. Absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and beautiful surroundings.

Recently on the Butterberg… we had the pleasure of ending a wonderful day at the Berggasthof Butterberg. The location is fantastic, with a breathtaking view from the tower that immediately puts you in the holiday mood. The service was first class - the staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible.The food was an absolute highlight: regional, fresh and simply delicious! The Saxon specialties are particularly enjoyable. We felt completely at home and can recommend the Berggasthof Butterberg to anyone who wants to experience nature and hospitality in its most beautiful form.Five stars are absolutely deserved here!

We planned to take a break here on our motorcycle tour to Upper Lusatia. It's always great to sit outside here when the weather is good :) and there are refreshments and food available.A tour around the Butterberg is definitely worth it, there are great views.The accessible tower is also a highlight.

We have visited the restaurant several times and now also two nights over the weekend on the occasion of our 10th wedding anniversary. The suite is beautifully furnished, newly renovated and well equipped. The food is exceptionally good and also something to behold. But the best thing about Butterberg is the very attentive and friendly staff, who always make sure that their guests feel comfortable. We couldn't be happier. Thank you

How can you no longer offer hot food at 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday? But it's possible, just visit the Butterberg!

If you want to wait over 2 hours for your food, then this is the place for you.We sat down at 12:30 p.m. and at 2:35 p.m. the last person at our table finally had his meal.The food wasn't bad and the portion size was reasonable.The fact that the cook had lost a hair on my plate was just acknowledged with a "Mh".Not a word of apology...It is unreasonable to have to wait over 2 hours for lunch without prior notice.If the kitchen does not manage to supply all the lunch tables with food at lunchtime, then you are not allowed to fill the restaurant to the last seat.We won't be coming back.
