I stayed here with my hiking group for 3 nights. There was nothing to complain about. If you want a quiet location and regional food together with nice service, this is the place for you. Hikes can be started directly from the house. I'd love to come back here.... and was here again. Still great.

We received a very warm welcome today despite the hotel's lunch break. We were able to enjoy the world's best poppy seed cake and crumble cake and watch the biathlon with the innkeepers. Thank you very much for the warm hospitality.

Many years ago we were able to spend a few lovely days in the “Zur Vesser” guesthouse. Many years later, during our vacation in Frauenwald, we remembered the nice, family atmosphere and booked a table for dinner.And, we didn't regret it! Thank you for the nice welcome and the very pleasant stay in the small, clean and nicely decorated restaurant.Drinks: served pleasantly chilled in clean glasses and very tasty.Food: We had 2 x Soljanka, which was well seasoned, served hot and met all expectations of a Soljanka, 1 x Trout Müllerinnen style (with garlic) and 1 x (the classic) Thuringian Rostbrätel. With Rostbrätel, you could immediately say, blindfolded, with a small piece of the delicious meat: “that’s a Rostbrätel”. Very tasty and exactly as you would expect! The trout "Müllerin Art" was also very tasty and met all expectations. Short conclusion: We couldn't rate the rooms because we were only there to "feast". The food was reasonably priced and, as already described, very tasty. The atmosphere is familiar and is not designed for “fancy” guests. Thank you very much for a lovely stay and see you next time!!!

Surprisingly. Such a small restaurant and such a professional approach 👍. Fish on the menu: "next door" ..WAW..!Terrace in standard size😉.A picturesque place. Pleasant accommodation - quality mattress.. it sounds strange, but it is true.A great place to start hiking trips in the area.

We were thrilled! A very warm family business where you can feel that everything is done with love and joy. Everyone wants their guests to be satisfied and feel comfortable. There was also a really tasty selection of food, whether it was trout or a meat dish, it tasted very good. Idyllic location right on the hiking trail. The rooms are comfortable and very clean.It's nice that there are still hosts/people like this. Just normal, very nice and personable.Thanks!:)Hella & Ralph

In June 23 we celebrated our 60th school year anniversary and spent a weekend at the Gasthaus Zur Vesser.The accommodation was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the support from the host family was excellent.All of this, combined with great weather and this beautiful location, made our celebration an unforgettable experience.We would like to thank our hosts from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful time under their roof.

Nice restaurant with good parking in the narrow Vesser.The service is friendly and accommodating, the lunch menu is excellent. For me the trout was a feast for the eyes and the palate.As a wheelchair user, you should coordinate in advance.A nice place.
