Were here for 4 days. There are some parking spaces in front of the entrance. We had a family room with 2 double bunk beds and lots of space. The shower is relatively narrow but everything was clean and well maintained.Unfortunately there is no slatted frame in the bed, so it is very hard to lie on. For us it's a blessing and a curse at the same time. The lighting in the room is a bit dark. Nice light in the bedside cabinets with storage space. The house was busy but you never heard anything in the evening. At breakfast it was sometimes turbulent and a little louder, but there is a second breakfast room where it was usually not so full. There were various rolls, crispbread, cheese, various types of sausage, butter, margarine, cream cheese and spreadable cheese, fruit, yoghurt, various breakfast cereals, coffee, milk and many types of tea. Also a water dispenser and juice mix dispenser. If you want a gluten-free breakfast, please register in advance when making your reservation, but they are also great in the kitchen if you ask spontaneously. The kitchen staff and chef are great, super friendly, even with the 5th question about allergies! The dinner was tasty and filling. The reception was not that busy during the week. But C.G. is very nice, funny and accommodating. We had a great stay in this cute castle youth hostel. There is a large and beautiful playground right next to it.There are great things to do in the surrounding area, usually a 30-60 minute drive (treetop path, technology museum, Unimog museum and much more). In summer there is a large outdoor swimming pool below the castle!! There are a few restaurants nearby.

The rooms are dirty, there are stains everywhere on the ceiling, walls and floor, there was hair from the previous person in my bed. There are brown stains on the floor in the bathroom and you get claustrophobic in the shower

The staff are very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms are old, the closet doors don't close, the showers don't have direct light, and the food doesn't really taste good.I cannot recommend this youth hostel...
