Great atmosphere and ideal for family celebrations

As described in other reviews, the rooms were in the style of a bad youth hostel. There was a musty smell as soon as you entered the room, as you didn't feel the need to ventilate the room when you were given away. Fortunately, after 15 minutes of airing it's okay. You can tell that nothing has been invested in years. Old drilling holes are not closed, the showers are not cleaned properly and the mattresses were probably last replaced in 1980. We felt every single feather.Breakfast buffet was also youth hostel style, but you can definitely eat it and it's completely okay for the price.We definitely won't stay there again.

Perfect location for a family celebration and all at fair prices. Over three days and with sometimes over 100 guests, all of our wishes were perfectly fulfilled. The service was impeccable throughout the entire event. The food, including drinks, was plentiful and of the best quality from early morning until late at night. Whether you are a meat lover, vegetarian or vegan, every taste has been catered for. The large buffet on the main day should be particularly praised. Whether in the beautifully decorated large hall or on the large terrace as well as in the wide outdoor area, the guests spread out so that the great atmosphere never wore off.Accommodation for all external guests could also be organized directly at the property. Whether a room in your own inn, the possibility of setting up tents or providing parking spaces for caravans and buses.All in all it was a completely successful event.Many thanks again to the operators and employees of the Landhotel & Restaurant Garitz.We'd love to come back.

We are still shocked. The country hotel is not a hotel, but for us a bad youth hostel. There's nothing wrong with simple furnishings (it's described that way on the homepage), but if you're offered a room that looks like it's from the 70's and a bathroom (equipped with a toilet/shower and a sink) that's great is in the hallway and we have to share it with what feels like 10 strangers, that's not possible at all in our opinion. After we told the staff that we weren't taking this room, we were offered a new one, there was at least a private bathroom in the room. But the cleanliness left something to be desired. Unbelievable... We'll definitely never see this hotel again...The birthday party we were invited to was very nice. The service person made a lot of effort and was also very friendly. Food buffet was also good, but everything else...

Very nice location for private parties or just going out to eat.Wishes regarding equipment for celebrations are fulfilled and even exceeded with the suggestions from the management and employees of the country hotel. Thank you again for hosting my celebration (50th birthday)!

The food is always very tasty. The menu changes regularly. The service is friendly and careful. There are no long waiting times. A toy box is available for younger guests. Everything is just right.Keep it up!

There is hardly anything to criticize here. Food tastes delicious, real home cooking. Ms. Fricke, the boss, anticipates your every wish, is quick and pretty. You feel good. Money and performance are right.You can celebrate and sleep wonderfully here. We went to the event with Daniela Alfinito and Zimmi in the beautiful country hotel in Garitz. The hall was almost fully booked and the service with lunch, coffee and drinks was perfectly organized in a pleasant atmosphere. The food and drinks were fine and were served very quickly, attentively and friendly by the waitress. A visit is highly recommended!

I had booked a family celebration with overnight stay for all guests. A guest had already booked for a few days in advance, but was unable to move into his room on the first evening because the manager had simply forgotten. He had to find another place to stay overnight. The celebration room was lovingly designed, the evening buffet couldn't be beaten in terms of abundance and tastyness, but the service staff had to be searched for for every order and was extremely unfriendly. I had ordered a gluten-free breakfast for a guest, which was forgotten. The kitchen is amazing, otherwise the work there is very unreliable and unfriendly.

Pre-booked family celebration held there in August with 12 people!The table was beautifully set and decorated!Service nice, friendly, quick & on the ball!The food was delicious and there were decent portions on the plate!Special requests or reorders were responded to in a friendly manner and, if possible, fulfilled!We really liked it here, we definitely recommend it and will definitely come back!Keep it up, it's fine!Best regards from Magdeburg!

I was allowed to be a guest at the country hotel on Saturday, the food was very tasty, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, there is still a lot of room for improvement.At the end of the event (around 11 p.m.) the service was listless, unfriendly and very annoyed when asked to bring drinks again.
