My son (4 years old) and I stayed at the Kinderhotel Simmerl for 5 days. It was our first time in a children's hotel and it is actually a huge difference to a "family-friendly" hotel, for example. Everything is completely designed for the little ones.There was a lot to choose from when it came to food and there was always something for everyone. The cuisine is excellent and the service staff are very friendly, funny and professional.The swimming pool was warm enough in our opinion and the size was absolutely sufficient. There is an indoor playground and a gaming room. If the weather is bad, there are alternatives inside. We didn't use the childcare, but we did use the activities where the parents could be there. We went lantern walking and pony riding was offered (unfortunately it was canceled due to bad weather)The area is perfect for excursions, many things can be reached within a few minutes by car or even on foot and most of them are included in the Activ Card.Now unfortunately for the unpleasant part.The room was absolutely sufficient in size, although it was furnished in a rather old-fashioned way for my taste. The lighting was a bit dim.When I moved in, I immediately noticed the silverfish bait under the sink. In the evening I knew why. When we came to our room from dinner there were a number of silverfish on the walls, unfortunately not just in the bathroom. Unfortunately, relaxing nights were impossible for me, hence the poor room rating. In response to my complaint, the bed was remade, wiped again and a second bait was placed in the room. Unfortunately it didn't help. Every evening the hunt began again. It looks like we were very unlucky here, other rooms didn't have this problem.I would personally rate the price-performance ratio as too high for the room.It was a wonderful holiday, but due to what happened in our room, I would unfortunately not visit the hotel again.

We've been to Simmerl twice now. April 24, September 24. We were always thrilled by the friendly staff, the choice of food and the entire carefree package. Your own food was also immediately adjusted to accommodate any intolerances. The food is prepared daily in the open kitchen.With the Aktiv Card you can do an incredible number of activities for free.The hotel has an indoor and outdoor playground and a swimming pool with several slides. There is the possibility of massages and cosmetics. A sauna can be booked for the family by the hour. In addition, there is childcare and various activities such as horse riding, climbing, etc. on different days.We are already looking forward to the next visit.LG family Ebner

You can expect an all-round carefree package from top chefs who not only put out a buffet but also serve up well-considered themed evenings such as Asian, Greek and Italian. Everyone is super nice and enjoys working there, which you can feel as a guest. We will definitely be back with our 2 children, 3J and 4M.

We spent our summer vacation (one week) in this beautiful children's hotel. The first ascent was an incredible oh-effect. Everything is just right in this hotel. Friendly staff who make an incredible effort to fulfill every wish, so many activities for the children (petting zoo, Indor playground for young and old, swings, sandpit and much more) and other opportunities to experience something, which you can easily do on foot can reach. Our room was a good size with a double bed, a daylight bathroom with a large shower and another room with a double bunk bed and a single bed. A cot was also provided for our youngest. Changing tables, potties and toilet attachments are also in the rooms. The bedrooms can be darkened with blinds. The food was exceptional. Sufficient quantity, something for every taste and extremely delicious. The Pielmeier family can be incredibly proud of what they have created there. We would definitely come again. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.

It's nice that they have animals, but they should show children proper animal husbandry (rabbits) and not one that is contrary to animal welfare! What a shame, really a shame!

I had two rather unpleasant experiences during our stay:1. We were not allowed to have my husband attend dinner at an additional cost. Reason: He was not a hotel guest (he drove my son and I there)2. They wanted to forbid me from leaving the evening before. Reason: Reception is only open until 5.30 p.m. (I said at 7 p.m. that I wanted to leave). I went anyway, after all we live in a free country.I also found the rooms to be rather mediocre, a bit old-fashioned and noisy.Nevertheless, my son and I had a really great time. Hence 5 stars. The outdoor areas and playrooms are very nice, the food is also very tasty and the service staff are attentive and friendly.

Such a wonderful vacation for our family! 2 adults 3 children from 5 to 0.Super! Really, really wonderful!We came here without any great expectations and in every respect the holiday was a success!The weather was mixed, sometimes warm, sometimes cold, even precipitation... but we didn't have any time to think about it!Kitchen - are you crazy?! Such awesome food! Jamaica as a buffet theme, brilliantly implemented. A la carte - presentation perfect and taste hit the mark!Our personal highlight was the Italian buffet with show cooking in the outdoor kitchen using the wood-burning oven! Live stone oven pizza topped as desired.Homemade tagliatelle, grilled sea bream...etc. HAMMER!Service and reception - so sweet and accommodating! You really looked after us very well! Thank you!Children's program - we didn't take advantage of the supervision, but each of the girls made a very nice impression!The program is really nice and varied. Children's disco, feeding the animals, leading the pony, face painting, etc. Our children liked the stick bread at the campfire best.You don't actually need the program because there is so much on offer!Indoor swimming pool with 3 slides, one of which is a trippel slide, splash area, pool and water slide. Sauna area, which we didn't go to due to lack of time.Indoor climbing games course with ball pit, U3 games room with changing facilities, crawling and play area and ball pit.Small playhouse in the restaurant. Garden with slide, swings, hammock, carousel, sandpit with mud area and climbing frame.Play shed on the upper floor with coin-operated excavator and lots of bobby cars and tricycles, scooters and co.There is so much to offer in the immediate area that you have to think about what you want to include in your vacation.We would be happy to come back and recommend the Kinderhotel Simmerl without reservation!

Just an all around wonderful stay! We were on vacation here for 4 days with 3 generations and the stay deserves even more than these 5 stars here. The staff is absolutely warm and friendly, the accommodation and the entire facility are clean and you really don't miss anything! The rooms are spacious and appropriately and sensibly furnished for families large or small. The whole atmosphere in the hotel is so harmonious that you can relax as a mom and dad because the children have so much to do and can really enjoy it too. The children's program is full of ideas and there is never a dull moment. The food is incredibly good - there is something for everyone, lots of variety and the taste is of the highest level.You can find an all-round carefree package here. We were guests in this great children's hotel for a week. Everything just fits here. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent and everything is very clean.
