Very nice holiday room, furnished to a high standard with a great view of the Thuringian Forest. The breakfast was very rich. It's about an hour's walk to the Rennsteig, but there are also other hiking trails that lead through wonderful nature.

We spontaneously looked for somewhere to stay overnight during our Rennsteig hike and stayed here.We received a very friendly welcome and the rooms were great.The breakfast was rich and had everything you need.Thanks for the spontaneous rescue! 🙂

We were very pleased with the friendliness of the landlords! A warm welcome. The guesthouse is so lovingly furnished/equipped. The breakfast was perfect! We would come back at any time! Dear Gratz family, thank you very much again for everything! We felt very comfortable!

Knight in shining armor!On the Rennsteig stage between Inselsberg and Neuer Ausspanne, my hiking buddy injured his foot, so we had to stop our tour. When we arrived at the Neue Ausspanne bus station, we discovered that the next bus would take around 4 hours to arrive.Without reception or the prospect of rapid progress, we were already partially resigned when suddenly, like a savior out of nowhere, Mr. Gratz drove up with a hiking group on the Neue Ausspanne. After a short conversation, he not only offered to drive us to Schmalkalden, 16km away - he even briefly accommodated us in the "Pension Rennsteigblick", which he runs with his wife - while he transported a second hiking group.The Gratz couple immediately and very warmly offered us breakfast in the guesthouse and Mrs. Gratz didn't want to rest until each of us had been provided with scrambled eggs, coffee, etc.In the end we paid a price of €6 for a hearty, extensive and regional breakfast, which featured specialties such as lavender cheese or warm dishes. Absolutely recommended!The Gratz couple are very kind, indescribably helpful and personal and their “Pension Rennsteigblick” is an absolute eye-catcher! I would absolutely recommend a stay based on these qualities alone!

I arrived at the guesthouse after a long, rainy day of hiking and was greeted very friendly. I was even able to choose the room and got a great recommendation for a restaurant. Room with balcony very well maintained. The breakfast was also great. Gladly again.

Very nice guesthouse with a family atmosphere. Good, rich breakfast. The place is centrally located for hikes or excursions. The heated mountain swimming pool can be reached in 15 minutes on foot.

We stayed at the Pension Rennsteigblick for a week for a hiking holiday. A really nice place to stay; large rooms with balconies; nice location.The Gratz family runs the guesthouse lovingly and attentively, has good tips about the region and is always helpful. The breakfast is sumptuous and the hosts are happy to accommodate the guests' wishes. The price-performance ratio is great - that's why we get an extra star.The surroundings and the place are ideal for a holiday. There is a mountain swimming pool in the town itself and there are a variety of offerings in the surrounding area.All in all a lovely holiday.
