Very quiet campsite in the middle of the forest, friendly hosts, small but good restaurant. We felt very comfortable on the three days we spent there.

We enjoyed a week's break here. The campsite is idyllically located right in the forest. We were warmly welcomed at reception and there was even a small welcome gift for our dogs.In the low season, the reception is only open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., which makes late arrivals a bit difficult. You can order rolls (really good in taste) at reception every day, even in the low season.Wi-Fi is not free, but can be purchased for a fee at reception. The CP is secured by a barrier, but you can borrow it with a key that is also used for showering for a deposit of €20. The shower tokens (1min - 1€) are also loaded onto this key. Some pitches are protected/separated by hedges and bushes. Electricity is available directly on site, but you have to get water from some of the fresh water/drinking water points located around the campsite. We paid a flat rate of €4 per day for electricity. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and cleaned properly every day. There are sculleries outside or in a room when it is colder.Addendum: I had a mistake in my text.Thank you for the tip, dear CP team.Of course, the reception is also open in the morning from 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.I apologize for this mistake.

A wonderful campsite located in the middle of the forest.Hikes in all directions are possible directly from the site. The local bread rolls come directly from the bakery.Plumbing is new and clean. In high season there are some additional toilets open and even an extra children's bathroom. The staff is very friendly and tries to help with all matters....clearly five stars 👍🏼

Very nice and quiet campsite, everything was very clean and well maintained. We were there with our dog from September 29th to October 12th, 2024. Everyone at the place was very friendly. We had made a reservation and purchased the ADAC Campcardapp before our arrival, but it was not accepted for the reserved space. However, only time limits are stated on the website.

We were here in October, just in time for Oktoberfest, where, in addition to atmospheric music, there was delicious and reasonably priced food. It was our first trip to beautiful Thuringia. It is a very nice campsite located in the middle of the forest with very friendly staff, very clean and well-kept sanitary rooms and there is both a sauna and infrared cabins, which we didn't go to. In October it was of course too shady for us to jump into the natural swimming lake, but in summer it must be wonderful here. The entire area is fenced in and you get a key for the “gates to the forest” when walking dogs or hiking. We will definitely come back in the summer.

Very quiet campsite. Although there were certainly many, many dogs on this really dog-friendly campsite, it was very quiet; the dogs could only be seen but not heard. The friendly and helpful operators ensure that rest times are observed.Otherwise they do their work very, very friendly and well. There are endless paths in the area for dog owners. If your dog gets really dirty, you can also use the dog salon.Of course there are also very clean showers for the two-legged friends. These, as well as the washing machine and dryer, are billed via the intelligent system, which works using a type of three-dimensional triangle that is inserted into a device and read. Very practical! All facilities, including washing up facilities, are kept very clean. There is a natural pond for swimming in the summer. We were only able to use it once (due to the change in weather), but with joy.The barbecue evening turned out to be (if you wanted) a nice get-together with the neighboring campers, but otherwise a enjoyment of homemade food and the famous Thuringian bratwurst at its best. The campsite is characterized by cleverly planted hedges that allow as much privacy as possible.Anglers can get their money's worth at the fishing pond. There is a playground and carts for rent for children.Oh yes: two alpacas are also at home at the campsite. We were there at the beginning of September, at the absolute end of the summer season. We liked the quiet, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the operators, the dog-friendly environment, but also the easy-to-reach culturally interesting cities/sites in the surrounding area. Our friends, a retired couple, also really, really liked this place! We decided we would love to come back!

This year we were in this beautiful place in the middle of the Thuringian Forest for the second time.We particularly like the fact that you can go hiking directly from the campsite. But you can also go to the hut for dinner in the evening without wasting time driving. The place also has a lot to offer for children and our visit with a small child was not boring. We'll be back next year because we're happy to have found such a clean and lovingly run leisure facility close to nature with attentive service.
