Great guesthouse to stay overnight. Price performance is right. Restaurant with regional cuisine, parking, clean spacious rooms, attractions within walking distance.

This guesthouse is not recommended! I made a booking request in writing, which was not answered! After I called this guesthouse, I got a call backby the boss personally. This call was due to "unfriendliness"not to be surpassed! I was literally told - "Booking for one night is not possible at all because the laundry costs would be too expensive! What kind of guesthouse owner is that!Sad, sad. I certainly can't recommend booking there!

"It is a small, somewhat outdated guesthouse almost in the center of Friedrichroda. From here you can easily start excursions into the region.There is also a small restaurant in the house.Unfortunately, the operator makes it very clear that the kitchen operation is now too much for him, so they prefer to eat at home.Conclusion: We will visit the region again, but in different accommodation."

Small but attractive guesthouse not far from the center of Friedrichroda. The breakfast was sufficient and the home-made sausages and jams were very tasty. The room was rustic but cozy and was only used for resting. Thank you for the wonderful week we were able to spend in the house.

The guesthouse is recommended, the rooms are functionally furnished. The breakfast was plentiful. The jams as well as homemade sausage and ham were very tasty.

This place is very beautiful, ideal for hiking. What you also notice here is that there is no staff and many shops are closed.

Good regional food! The first face that “had” to serve us 😱 apparently needed time to warm up - hospitality is different. But as we went along we exchanged ideas and got tips for further excursions.

We had a great stay with excellent food in a family atmosphere. Special requests such as light food were prepared. We were able to absolutely enjoy our own delicious sausages for breakfast, homemade jam and a very large selection of dishes for dinner (half board). The landlord, who was also a passionate cook, was very nice, as was his son. We can only thank you for the wonderful time.

Were guests at the Ratsherren at the turn of the year 2022.Small, clean guesthouse with very good cuisine.Here the landlord still cooks himself!!It was nice. Thanks !

The owner tried to be friendly, but repeatedly made it clear that he no longer wanted to run the guesthouse. It's best not to disturb. There were no excursion tips or anything similar. Our room, like the entire building, was a bit old. Cleanliness looks different, “bedbugs” on the floor, cobwebs on the wall and the bathroom also needed a thorough cleaning. The much praised breakfast was quite simple, scrambled eggs are available upon request for €7.50. Rip-off?! The evening offering was good, but nothing special.We didn't feel very welcome. To the councilman - never again!

Very nice owner. Clean guesthouse with everything you need. The best thing, however, is the breakfast with homemade sausage and jam.Individual wishes are always taken into account.
