In the golden autumn, my family and I stayed in this beautiful, very well-equipped Luxor holiday apartment.Facilities and comfort were great! It is in a very quiet location and you can not only look out from the winter garden far into the upper Ore Mountains (Pöhlberg, Bärenstein). The hosts are very friendly and are open to any questions. We would love to travel there again immediately.Bader family

very nice accommodation with a wonderful view. We lived in the FW Luxor, which consists of two bedrooms, a large living room, verandas with a large table and chairs right next to the kitchen, bathroom and guest toilet. Complete kitchen equipment and washing machine are available. Very nice landlords, from whom you can also get excursion tips. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend this apartment

We were guests in October and spent a few wonderful days. We were thrilled by the great view. Our holiday home “Anna” is great. Great new kitchen - fully equipped, 2 pretty little bedrooms, each for 2 people. Likewise the living room with a pull-out sofa. We found it comfortable and could spend nice days. There is free WiFi, so we were able to plan our hikes in advance. The holiday apartments in the house, which the friendly host showed me on the day of departure, are also nice. The new, large holiday apartment is particularly great. I can happily recommend this accommodation! We'll be back. Thank you again.

The owners were lovely and welcoming. The swimming pool was amazing with the hot weather (including a slide for kids). Clean house, would only consider adding a microwave of oven. But there were barbecues free to use so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Definitely would recommend to visit for a nice, relaxed vacation! Beautiful view as well.

Very nice apartment with a fantastic view. The landlord tries very hard to give you tips for excursions and maintains his property meticulously. The pool is around 1.40m deep and definitely at least 6m in diameter. The possibility of grilling is available and there is a nice lounge area with an oven/grill under construction. WiFi was available and worked very well.Entry to the property is via a transponder that you receive for the duration of your stay. In 4 minutes you can walk to a bakery, restaurants and a small corner shop.We didn't miss anything and we would like to thank the Lange family for their hospitality. See you soon 👋

Maxenstein has a very special atmosphere with lovely hosts and cozy, very clean accommodation in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Wolkenstein Castle and the great medieval little mountain town of the same name are a stone's throw away. There are many excursion destinations to discover. Always happy. Absolute recommendation!

We stayed here for 3 nights and stayed in the little house Maria. Everything corresponded to the descriptions on the website and therefore also to our expectations. The communication beforehand went smoothly and we were satisfied with our stay. Just a tip for the website: Regarding the price composition, it is calculated based on the 1st and additional fellow travelers - that wasn't immediately obvious/transparent to me, but you get the idea 😉.

The Maxenstein includes two holiday homes and an apartment in the villa. I would like to emphasize that my review only refers to the gardener's house "Maria" (the only one for people with dogs) and the little house Anna is much better equipped. What is positive is that there is both gas heating and a fireplace and everything was clean and functional. However, there was no comfort whatsoever. There were only creaking chairs and no armchairs or sofas, nor at least a mini oven or a list for the television channels, let alone a halfway up-to-date guest directory from the landlord. Instead, extremely thin drywall walls, plastic folding doors, steep stairs and a very minimalist sleeping bunk furnishings. If you love the great view of the Ore Mountains, are out all day and fall "dead" into your bunk in the evening, this is probably the right place for you. All other people such as older dog owners and parents should ask again beforehand. The new operators have plans for changes and are happy to provide information if asked. But at the moment I don't think the price-performance ratio is appropriate.
