Only went to the restaurant, did not stay at the hotel. Interior very old fashioned but that‘s the only downside. Super friendly waiters and the food was outstanding.

Driving up to this hotel and seeing that beautiful big house around the corner garnered excitement. Surrounded by trees and beautiful gardens too. Reception was professional and took us up to our lovely room right away. The hallways are wide and covered with a thick carpet so you don’t hear other guests coming and going. The room was clean, spacious and had thick, comfortable mattresses on the bed. It all felt very luxurious! Our breakfast on the terrace overlooking the garden was divine. Lovely strong, not bitter coffee, our pouched eggs were made by staff to perfection and there was a wonderful assortment of pastries, breads, juices, meats, jams, honey scraped from a honeycomb and smoked salmon and fresh fruit, both whole and cut up. So wonderful! It was a pleasant walk to the spa and town centre. Highly recommend this place. Felt very therapeutic! Plus this hotel has my name, so bonus! 😊

Complete waste of money, we will not be back. This is not a "Spa hotel" this is a hotel that happens to have a spa. Very disappointing. I've seen regular hotels that weren't marketed as Spa Hotels, that had bigger and more luxurious spas than this one.First of all, the spa amenities are tiny. The sauna can maybe hold maybe 5 people, the steam room maybe 4 (and that means you're all squeezed next to each other) There were also not nearly enough lounge chairs, maybe 15 in total, which were all occupied, so between our sauna rounds we had to awkwardly stand in the hallway. Unacceptable.Secondly, there was a pool, however it was completely taken over by a family and their young kids. They were playing with their pool noodles, splashing water everywhere and screaming. The pool is in the center of the spa, so if you were lucky enough to have found a lounge chair, you were unable to relax because of the noise. It is unfathomable to me why there aren't spa rules (as in, a quiet zone) or why they weren't enforced.Thirdly, the rooms are tiny. You could barely turn around in there with 2 people. We didn't know where to put our suitcases as there was very limited storage.Lastly, the hotel charges for parking without informing you. In a city center, I'd understand having to pay for parking, but honestly, a hotel in the middle of nowhere that you can't even reach without a car?! Having to pay for parking is outrageous. Especially because there is very limited parking (as in, no proper parking lot) in the first place and we had to park between the buildings. To charge for that is an audacity. All in all, this was a rip off and I am angry about every cent I paid.

This hotel took us by surprise. Romantic old building with a modern touch. Very friendly and understanding staff. Amazing restaurant that’s available for non-hotel visitors. Beautiful view on the region as the hotel lies on a hill. Will definitely come again.

Remote and quiet hotel close to the nature, and a park to walk true. Good service and big breakfast, even had lactose and gluten free options for me. Very small rooms and beds, if you are two bigger people you will not fit in the bad. Small wellness with two saunas, one pool inside and one outside. Massage and other spa treatments for extra charge. Restaurant are super sweet and have lovely menu.

Although this was a charming hotel, room was small. No tea or coffee in the room only carbonated water. The room was clean and comfortable.Dissatisfied about parking we had to park on the side road and then charged by the hotel . They had no availability for parking . The lobby bar was closed and had to go to the restaurant to get a hot drink. Spa area is small and pool is small. Stair case is a winding and not safe to carry bags . There is a lift .Short walk to the shops and cafes there was limited open on Saturday evening.

The hotel is situated in a charming village of Badenweiler which is surrounded by forests. So the air was amazing. I loved the breakfast, the spa and most of the massages I booked. I didn't like so much that we didn't have a kettle in the room and no 24h room service. Parking was paid as well which for me is a minus for a 4-star hotel. But overall, I liked it a lot.

We really enjoyed our stay, nevertheless, we felt like some things were worth mentioning.Parking was extremely uncomfortable, I know the building is old and considering the location it is hard to make more room for parking, still, I just wasn’t a good experience, even if I drive a smaller car.The service was friendly, but a little bit over the top. We didn’t appreciate the constant small talk the head waiter initiated, for example. Also, we asked if the temperature of the pool could be adjusted, which it could not - in itself this wouldn’t be a problem but we had been told the water would be 32 degree Celsius, which was clearly a lie!The room was clean, quiet and the view was lovely - but the towel heater and the light on the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work. The maids were friendly but forgot to bring new spa towels. The spa treatments were lovely and the service extremely friendly, however, the front desk forgot to forward our wish to be treated together and not just parallel. The breakfast was really lovely, nothing to complain at all! The waiters were friendly, the buffet style breakfast was bounteous and really fresh, with lots of options! The spa itself was alright. There were two saunas included in the price and two additional ones bookable for extra payment. The pool was too cold for our liking and fairly small. We did not appreciate that children were allowed in the spa at all, as these are places of relaxation and it was really annoying and noisy! Also, the water station was empty during the duration of our stay and no one seemed to be bothered to fill it up! Very inconsiderate taking into account that drinking is so important when using the saunaOverall I would stay here again - we felt welcome and comfortable and were content with the cleanliness - I would, however, next time not use the pool but go to the Cassiopaia Therme straight away!

On paper this hotel has it all. In reality it’s a little different. |Parking is a nightmare, not enough parking places, scattered around, some on the street, some inside a yard, some around the corner- in the open and not guarded in any …
