We can highly recommend this accommodation, super nice hosts always try to find a solution. Our daughter was in very good hands and always had an open ear. Even if you call at short notice you try to find a solution. Thank you very much Nele will be back in November. Thank you very much

I spent one night in this guesthouse in the summer of 2023 and was very satisfied. A personable, friendly host welcomed and said goodbye to me and the room was very comfortable. Modest but charming and inexpensive. Any time!

If you are looking for an inexpensive, functionally furnished, clean room in Meiningen, then Pension Carola is the right place for you. There is also a parking space and a very nice hostess. Breakfast option (bakery open Mon-Sun) approx. 5 minutes walk or in the city center (recommendation: Cafe Tante Helene). Thank you, we felt comfortable.

I was here as a guest for the second time in August because my sister and her wife's foster child was starting school.As was the case 7 years ago, we “Nordhäuser” were warmly welcomed by Carola.🥰However, it is not just the friendly and warm manner of the hostess that is a reason to recommend it, but rather the furnishings and, above all, the cleanliness 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 (which some people should take a leaf out of) of the rooms!!Keep it up and the 👍🏻 is more than deserved!

It's a dream when you finally arrive after a 9-hour train journey and are greeted so friendly. :-)Sure, it's not a 5 star hotel, but it's completely sufficient to stay for one or two nights! I really like the classic style of the staircase and also in general! You almost feel at home instead of in a guesthouse ;)The beds are comfortable and it is a quiet area. The walk from the train station is not too long and if you walk around a few corners you will find a bakery, the best place for breakfast.-I can only recommend it!

Meiningen is located in Thuringia and is a very beautiful town. The environment is great. I and my family can only recommend this guesthouse “Carola”. We were warmly welcomed and immediately had a good relationship with our landlady Carola. We had all the freedom and everything was very uncomplicated. We already miss her and quickly took her into our hearts because of her friendly and confidential nature. Unfortunately, the time was too short otherwise we could have had many more wonderful hours with her. But we'll be back. As soon as we are close again, no question… we will book with our Carola!!!! Lg

Thanks for the good accommodation, relatively short notice booking. The nice hostess made it possible.The rooms were adequately furnished and everything worked.Short distances to the bakery, Norma and the city.Went to the city festival in Meiningen and the accommodation was perfect!Feel free to come by again, until then have a great time

So where to start here?First of all, it is clear that we are in Meiningen and the offer is manageable. We wanted to stay 2 nights. So far so good.The room was a disaster: clumps of hair in the bathroom, a shower that had started and you had to hold your shower head in your own hand because there was no holder. The double bed consisted of 2 children's beds pushed together. The facility was thrown together 30 years ago and hasn't been changed since.But now comes the real disaster: the owner/receptionist! We started with an immediate request to pay (of course there is no card payment here). Okay, but you can still understand that you want to receive the money. We then wanted to pay at 8 a.m. in the morning. At 7:55 a.m. there was a knock on the door with the information that we could now pay. At 8:03 a.m. the knock came again and she was still waiting.Ultimately I canceled the second night. Actually I should have kept the money for the first night. So please please, look for another location!The extremely good reviews at the beginning disguise the substandard quality of this guesthouse & are probably from friends.

The price-performance ratio is right and the hostess is very friendly. Breakfast is currently not offered, but she gave us tips for breakfast locally and the price has been adjusted accordingly.

Ill-tempered owners who failed to communicate with each other that I had booked a room.No WiFi, sanitary facilities that actually belong in a museum, beds like in a youth hostel.Even excessive use of incense sticks does little to disguise the faint smell of old smoke.Oh, they just barged into the room without knocking.At least it's clean.

Absolutely awesome, sent an email and called them after three days because there was no answer. A completely annoyed landlady who obviously didn't have time to look. When I asked Sri whether a double room was available, she said yes but became rude when I asked about breakfast. There would be no breakfast! Even if it says so on the internet! After I asked her to talk to me in a more relaxed manner because she had a very harsh tone, she told me I could book somewhere else and just hung up!Hospitality looks different to me! Impossible behavior!
