Rating holiday accommodation www.bertsch-hagnau.de, stay from May 22nd. until June 2nd, 2024.The apartment is equipped as described - there are no points of criticism from this. Unfortunately, the inhospitable behavior of the landlady Elisabeth Bertsch created a negative atmosphere and put a considerable strain on our stay.Ms. Bertsch's attitude was unfriendly from the start, often didactic, and sometimes impudent. We imagine an “oasis of peace and relaxation” to be relaxed - the host should not constantly appear to control or patronize the guests. In our opinion, this is not a “house with ambience and heart” because you have to treat your guests in a friendly, respectful and accommodating manner. Unfortunately, we only felt like supplicants here, not like paying guests. The highlight of the unfriendliness at Apart Elisabeth was the brusque rejection of fresh bed linen, which had been politely requested several times, with the justification: “...not for the money!” (probably meaning the total price of over 1,300 euros). Ms. Bertsch preceded the rejection with the question “… why do you need new salaries after just four days?” There was no offer from them to provide it against payment, and there was no washing facility available to us.After this incident, we lodged a complaint with the Hagnau tourist information office. Their director contacted Ms. Bertsch by telephone. A short time later, Ms. Bertsch stood at our door and brought the requested bed linen, along with the loud accusation that she considered our complaint to be inappropriate. She complained that we had allegedly not spoken to her directly (even though we had done so in writing and verbally). She remonstrated with us: "How come you complain to the tourist information office? I know everyone there, and I'm the owner of the house, not the manager." Unfortunately, a constructive discussion was not possible because Ms. Bertsch constantly interrupted us then broke off the conversation and left. Two days before our departure, we found all the utensils for the cleaning lady in the stairwell right in front of our apartment door - another negative signal that we, as frequent travelers, have never experienced in any accommodation. There were several other unfriendly speeches from the landlady, which we will leave out because otherwise the text would be too extensive.
