Nice view, nice staff, I didn't like the lentil soup at all. I was also really angry. Pretzel was ok. I would advise vegetarians to try the potato soup instead. Nothing else is offered to us.

A beautifully located hut. The staff is friendly, the food is on a normal hut level and the view is magnificent. The trip there is definitely worth it.

Dear mountain friends! Please be careful as there are still numerous bed bugs in the cabin. The bites may not appear until a few days later. My family developed hives and extremely severe itching all over their bodies. I find it very irresponsible not to inform about this. In the worst case scenario, you can bring the animals into your home.

Very cheap cabin. Food and drink play a particularly important role. The food isn't that good, but it's cheap.The cabin is modernly furnished and in good condition. When the showers become usable at some point, things will get even better.

Unfortunately visibility was zero due to fog, but the cozy hut can't help that. This also has a great price-performance ratio. Absolutely fits. I'd love to come back again. Then hopefully with a view.

Beautiful hut, good prices, very polite landlord couple, who unfortunately have to stop, because a rent increase of almost 100% is not acceptable, it's a shame, we're happy to say hello here

We hiked from Oberammergau via the Kolbensattelhütte to the August Schuster Haus. The next day we went back down towards Linderhof Castle. The location and the view on the Pürschling is amazing, in good weather there is a perfect view of the Alps including the Zugspitze. Excellent P-L ratio, both for food and drinks. The innkeepers are super nice! I would give 5 stars for a day tour 👍🏼2 stars deducted for the room and the handling of bed bugs - unfortunately you just don't feel comfortable in the beds - the night was accordingly.

Great! The food is delicious and at an affordable price! The drinks are not expensive either. The view from the terrace is simply beautiful. It's worth sitting down, eating and drinking something and admiring the views.

The hut itself is very nice, but I was bitten by bed bugs during the night and apparently took the problem home with me.The owners didn't say anything like that or take precautionary measures, which was the case with other cabins (putting the cabin sleeping bag in the microwave, etc.)

Very nice little and rustic hut. The food was very tasty and fairly priced. Payment on site with Paypal worked perfectly. The service itself was also very nice and accommodating.

First of all, the negative:I have never been so disgustingly mauled by bed bugs. I saw the animals crawling on me when I woke up and took dozens of bites. I was pointed out that pheromone traps were empty and whether they were perhaps mosquitoes. 3 days later my upper body is a star map. The next morning I also saw the little animals between the mattresses and in the wood paneling. Be careful not to take any souvenirs with you.Food was cheap and good if you eat meat. Otherwise you could get by on soups and fries. Food was à la carte even though we had reserved online and the room reservation was not found in the system. The view is very nice and the room layout is good too.

The August Schuster House on Pürschling is a true jewel in the Ammergau Alps. The climb through the breathtaking nature is an experience in itself, but the best awaits you at the top: a hut full of charm, warmth and hospitality.The mountain bike tour to the house is a real challenge, but that's exactly what makes it so special. The path is demanding, but the effort is worth it every time. For me, there is nothing better than arriving on the terrace after the sweaty drive up and enjoying the magnificent view.The food is down-to-earth, tasty and very inexpensive. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the hut staff.The atmosphere at the hut is familiar and you can quickly get into conversation with other hikers and bikers.All in all, a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Alps. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend the August Schuster House to everyone!

A beautiful hut with a great view. We were a group of 7 people and were well looked after and at great prices!We enjoyed the stay very much.Also noteworthy: certain rooms such as the washroom and toilets have been renovated to perfection without losing the charm of the hut.
