We were at the Fuchsenhof for a week for the second time, our daughter has now attended the course for the riding badge 4. She is very satisfied with the preparation and the process. We parents can also confirm our daughter's joy and satisfaction, as we were present and watched every riding lesson of the preparatory course. As the Vetter family already writes on their website, no miracles can be expected in 4 days of preparation, but the riders must already have mastered the appropriate level for a riding badge, especially from riding badge 5 and higher. There is a daily dressage and jumping lesson as well as theory lessons, so the daily routine is tightly organized. The only point of criticism would be that course participants have to eat lunch during the theory lesson.Mrs. Vetter allocated the school horses and my wife (Trainer A Riding) was particularly impressed by how well Mrs. Vetter allocated the horses appropriately based on a short story and self-assessment of the respective riding student.Of course, horses that are trained in show jumping usually have more “go”, which may be a new experience for some riders (especially when the jumps get higher, ponies in particular need more momentum)We didn't observe that the horses during the jumping lessons were overwhelmed with the task of the jumping course (as someone else wrote), but rather that the riders were not yet confident enough in giving assistance, so that the horses were unsettled by the rider and with them sometimes ran past the obstacle. If the riders were able to implement the sensible instructions of the riding instructors, it was no problem for the horses to jump the required course. In general, we are very impressed with how well-behaved and approachable the horses are. Due to the species-appropriate husbandry (groups in an open stable), the horses are very balanced.During riding lessons, the horses are in the upper 1/3 of the run, so that the riding students can find and fetch them independently. From around 5 p.m. the horses then have free access to the large pasture areas and the paddock area is then properly mucked out every day (With almost 80 horses, a lot of manure is produced throughout the day)What my wife particularly liked was that she observed all the feeding troughs and drinking bowls being cleaned (she had never experienced that in any school stable before)Final conclusion:We have the impression that the horses are doing really well there and that they are balanced. The riding instructors try very hard to guide all riders to the badge (if a rider is obviously overwhelmed, they politely recommend practicing again at a lower level)The extensive theoretical knowledge required is presented and conveyed very well in Mr. Vetter's lessons. Our daughter is a fan of his.The stables are tidy and all employees are always helpful if you turn to them with a question. The apartment was absolutely great, clean, quiet, beautiful location and everything we needed was there. We would love to come back.
