Yes, actually not the Ritz Carlton. I also paid more there. The owner may be quirky. Age-related. I can handle it. The rooms are ok for the price. We improved the breakfast. The coffee is good. I don't like the usual negative nagging. If you don't like it, just don't go there anymore. There is no writing about the “nice” guests either.

The owner was very unfriendly and cross-border, because contrary to my wish that I wanted to stay in my room undisturbed and didn't need room cleaning, he was about to enter the room on his own and without my permission. Definitely never again.

Not a good hotel.I was a *guest* at this hotel a few weeks ago.The rooms were outdated, the beds were very uncomfortable, the room was tiny, the bathroom definitely needed a renovation, it used to be modern at some point in the seventies, but not anymore.The man at the reception was very unfriendly and dismissive, he made it clear to me several times that he didn't want to talk to me, he was briefly nice about how he got his money.The breakfast was very poor, hardly any choice.But the staff was very friendly and the rooms were always very clean. But unfortunately it doesn't make up for what we've experienced.

Bathroom in need of renovation, but room very clean, towels changed several times. Nice older staff in keeping with the charm of the hotel. Equipment from the 60s and 70s - if you have high expectations, you're in the wrong place here. We liked it

Shameful, no air conditioning, the old man at reception unfriendly. and rude. We stayed 6 nights and on the fourth when we arrived at 10 pm he was waiting for us and shouted that we pay the bill now.

Nice hotel near the spa park on a quiet street.Personally, I love these vintage hotels where time has mostly stood still and the furnishings are very well preserved. Of course there were modernizations, such as a later addition of an elevator and newer furniture, but it's the mix that counts. Will be going back soon to relax.

Very nice staff, especially the friendly lady from the breakfast buffet and room cleaning. It was a nice stay and everything was fine. The only problem was the WiFi connection, which was not available at the desk, but only directly at the room door. So not ideal for working on a laptop. Otherwise everything was tip top. Good location for excursions, thermal baths and Freiburg.

Very well maintained and very clean hotel with good price/performance ratio. WiFi (free) is strong in the room. Breakfast buffet is okay, but the rolls are too crispy for my taste. Particularly noteworthy is the so-called free Konuscard, with which you can use buses and trains in the Black Forest for free. One more star for that.

Called and checked availability. According to a gentleman, there were no more rooms available. Four rooms were still available on a hotel booking site. After calling again and following up, he has blocked them from now on and doesn't want to give them away either. I haven't experienced anything like that in a long time.

Very cheap acceptable hotel. Good location, you can reach the spa park, the thermal baths and the train station in just a few minutes' walk!
