Pension Spreewaldengel

We spent three wonderful days in the Spreewald and the Spreewaldengel. We had wonderful weather for cycling. The friendly landlady made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast table was always particularly rich and lovingly set. We will keep fond memories of the guesthouse and come back soon. All the best, dear Ms. Jerkel and thank you very much

After we arrived in Lübbenau on our bikes in the great heat, we were very happy to have gotten accommodation in the guesthouse. We would like to thank you again for the warm welcome and the great breakfast.

We never thought that the Spreewald would be so beautiful. Such impressions are only known from television. We take wonderful memories home with us. Thank you for the great breakfast and the hospitable welcome. We slept so well. We won't forget the Spreewald any time soon. Many many thanks

Our first vacation together took us to the Spreewald. The fact that this idyll will remain unforgettable for us is also due to the romantic accommodation in Haus Spreewaldengel. Thank you very much for the proverbial hospitality of the Spreewald region. This isn't the last time we've been here.

We thank you for the great accommodation and the rich breakfast. We were particularly impressed by the ambience of the guesthouse. Everything is furnished and designed with a lot of love and very individually. Ms. Jerkel is a very nice and courteous guesthouse owner. We felt more than comfortable.

We spent a few nights here as a young couple to discover the Spreewald. It would have been possible to book online, but we decided to make a classic phone call and were able to find the right room for us quickly and easily. We found the location to be perfect, in the middle between the train station and the city, so it was never a long way in any direction and still permanently quiet and relaxing. The entire guesthouse and the rooms are unique and lovingly furnished, there is something for the eyes to discover everywhere. There is even a refrigerator in each room to store a few things. The same applies to the extensive garden, which you can also use, but in the evening it is better to stay in one of the pavilions, otherwise the mosquitoes quickly become annoying in summer. The path is also completely atmospherically lit so it's easy to find your way back and it just looks great. Breakfast had a little highlight every day, whether it was homemade bread, something sweet, eggs with painted faces and hats, that always put a smile on my face in the morning. Otherwise everything is very uncomplicated and can be tailored individually, you just have to talk about it. Basically, you should register bikes a day in advance, but we were still able to spontaneously inquire about them at short notice during breakfast. The hostess is very warm and you can talk to her about anything, breakfast requests, excursion destinations, maps and plans as well as mosquito spray, or another lamp for the garden, you can quickly find a solution for all extra requests within a certain framework, thank you very much for that . Even as young people we were treated great and had a great time! There are also parking spaces within the property, so that cars are protected and not on the street (however, since we traveled by public transport, we didn't use it).Our conclusion: a sweet little guesthouse that has far more to offer than we initially expected. Here you can really switch off and have fun, it was really great for us and we can only thank you for the great time, we can also imagine coming back and discovering the charm of the other rooms, as they are all unique :)

We had booked the guesthouse for a relaxing paddling weekend in Lübbenau. Our idea based on the website information was: a small, cozy guesthouse with breakfast, centrally located and the possibility of using the lawn and seating on the property.Experiences during our stay:Upon arrival there was a very reserved welcome from Mrs. J. A short tour of the room and then formal registration. Ms. J. issued us the guest card with the instruction to hand it in when we left or to leave it in the room because it would be needed for billing. This is not normally common practice as the issuing accommodation has its own copy.We asked about the breakfast arrangements. Ms. J.'s answer was that breakfast is possible at 9 because she is already providing breakfast to other guests at 8 and she has to do everything alone. We found it a bit strange in the decisive tone in which the key data was conveyed. No question about our plans and whether 9 a.m. would be okay.So far so good...After dinner in town, we wanted to end the evening on the property's meadow by the small watercourse. There were already 2 chairs there and we sat down. Less than 10 minutes later, Ms. J. came to us and told us that we would like to carry 1 chair back and pointed to a place further up the property. We mentioned that the chairs were already by the water and we didn't change anything or move anything around. Ms. J. wasn't interested in that. She repeated that we should still put the chair back.This was the limit for us. We left the meadow and went to our room - accompanied by a brisk exchange of words with Mrs. J.Conclusion:We skipped the breakfast we had already paid for with Mrs. J. on both weekend days because we were not interested in further discussions and encounters and took advantage of the great breakfast offer at the bakery on the market.Location: Good starting point for excursions. 10 minutes walk to the market and further to the ports.Service: 0 stars because there was no service.Unfortunately, Ms. J. is not at all familiar with professional and hospitable interaction. If you don't have motivation or a knack for looking after guests, you shouldn't do it.We found it a shame that we were so charged up due to the argument on the day of arrival that we couldn't really think about relaxing and resting.
