The Maltan family makes you feel like you're on holiday straight away.From the booking request, to the booking, the check-in and the check-out, the Maltan family is a great host.The booking was totally uncomplicated and the request was answered super quickly. When you arrive you will receive all the important information, documents about excursion destinations, a little weather update or even just an umbrella if it is raining (if you have forgotten your own).The breakfast is lovingly prepared, with home-baked bread and regional products. And there is plenty of everything. The bread with regional cheese was super delicious😋The room was very clean, there are enough towels in the room (large and small). If necessary, Ms. Maltan will be happy to bring some over.The room was very well maintained, modern and usefully furnished.The hosts treat their guests with great trust.There are cold drinks in the fountain in front of the house that you are welcome to help yourself to and payment is made upon departure. So great that you still offer something like this 😊If you want to spend your holiday in the middle of nature, but still in a very central location, with a direct connection to the bus transport on your doorstep, this is the right place for you.Regardless of whether you are an individual, a family with children or a couple, there is something for everyone in the rooms/holiday apartments.Parking spaces are available right in front of the front door. The guest house also offers a great playground, a water fountain and a great place to relax.When we left we received a nice souvenir of a relaxing stay. A self-made wooden breakfast board.We were very happy about that.Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful time with you.Always my pleasure. We've been there on holiday for a week now. Honestly, we don't regret it. The hosts are a force. Great people and always approachable and helpful. The room is very well equipped, with a view of the Watzmann, which smiles at you every day. The accommodation and the breakfast buffet are really worth 5 stars. In addition to home cooking and fresh, specially made bread and rolls - it's just pure enjoyment. We are already raving about our next visit. The Kaltbachhäusl is really a huge recommendation. We will be back. The Uhlig family from the Erzgebirge.

Very family atmosphere.Very nice hosts who have prepared the newly built, high-quality holiday apartments with great attention to detail.Pretty common room where you can have a leisurely breakfast with regional products.Sensational views of the mountains, in a quiet location.Good transport connection.The best prerequisite if you don't want to drive far but want to have a vacation and relaxation right on site.Thank you for the very nice week!!

Great guesthouse, breakfast with regional products, rolls and homemade sourdough bread.The rooms and holiday apartments are very well equipped and all have a balcony with a great view of the mountains.Excursion tips are available free of charge upon request :-)When the sun is shining, breakfast can also be taken on the terrace with a great view of the surrounding mountains.Kaltbachhäusl always happy ❤️ and again and again.

Wow. What a beautiful place and what a great host.Many thanks to Ms. Maltan for this great stay.We were warmly welcomed and everything went great.Well-kept and very clean rooms that were cleaned daily during breakfast.The breakfast was very tasty and everything was available. Above all, the daily changing fresh fruit and Ms. Maltan's ingenious home-baked bread were super delicious. We were able to enjoy this on the terrace in the sunshine with a wonderful view.The infrared cabin was also a small highlight in the inn.Many kind regards from Leipzig :)

We have been to the Maltan family several times now. It is absolutely recommended! Breakfast is delicious, rooms are super nice and the Maltan family is very nice! We keep coming back.

We were Ms. Maltan's guests for five days and really enjoyed our stay. The Kaltenbachhäusl is picturesquely located with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. In the evening a cigarillo and a port wine on the balcony with the view, wonderful. The lady of the house, Mrs. Maltan, is like the cream puff baron's main ingredient - "Pure Sugar"! She really cares lovingly for her guests. The rooms are a nice size, clean and newly renovated. You can't have it better. Breakfast is a joy every morning, there is a good selection (fresh fruit/vegetables/salads/sausage/cheese/eggs) to make everyone happy, we particularly liked the home-baked bread. We will be happy to come back.

We stayed at Kaltbachhäusl for a week at the beginning of June. It was beautiful again. The Maltan family has lovingly and comfortably furnished the small guesthouse. The breakfast was an eye-catcher every morning. From rolls and homemade bread to tomato mozzarella, there was something for everyone. The host Monika always had good tips for good and bad weather. What we really liked was that you could take the hiking bus 845 directly from the accommodation to Hintersee or Hochschwarzeck and go hiking from there. There was a connection to the 846 and the adventure bus to Hirschbichl directly in Ramsau. So leave your car parked, the bus costs nothing
